RE: Rodgers' elephant thing, like 90% of "sanctuaries" are bullshit that are entangled with the training camps etc. that provide the supply of abused elephants. Definitely something to do Rodgers-level research on before cutting any checks. Best place to see elephants is national parks in Sri Lanka and some parts of India and SE Asia, where you can see them truly in the wild
