my funniest personal Rambo history is that I had a vhs tape of a few episodes of the cartoon I watched 100 times before seeing the movies. so watching the movies for the first time when I got older I kept being like "is this scene where he finds his giant 6 wheel action truck?" and was just constantly let down.

Yes I'm all for the double dips. If doughboys can do 5 episodes on Arby's then ABZ can get at least 2 episodes out of Hell Comes to Frog Town. Also anytime I see an ice cream cart guy with a "Good Humor" logo on the cart I have to do a Sly impression.

just recently read the First Blood Part 2 novel by Morrell and it’s not nearly as good as the first one but it’s worth a read and is interesting to see how he adapted the existing movie into a book. he replaces the “expendable” party definition with one pertaining to a car wreck (definitely less goofy) and gives a slight bit of agency to Co Bao, even poking fun at the offensive screenplay broken-English she speaks. delves more into Rambo’s trauma and makes him initially quite hesitant to agree to bring Co to the US with him, as he’s too traumatized to even consider sex or romance. And most importantly: ⚠️ Podovsky gets a hard-on and later orgasms while torturing Rambo! Wow !
Oh, for the love of.. ONE cop dies in First Blood. One. Uno. Art Galt, the dude that falls out of the helicopter..
