Don’t get me wrong…aircraft carriers are awesome….but I did the Maiden Deployment on the USS George HW Bush and toward the end of deployment the new vacuum toilet system failed all over the ship so they were locking defective bathrooms all over the ship. You definitely had to pre-plan when you were going to go because you had to find one that worked. People complained so much there were articles in like the Washington Post.

I travelled with Howard Stern’s Wack Pack as a camera operator in 2009 for their reality show on HowardTV. Beetlejuice was so much fun to travel with. He would shit in the shower and push it down the drain with his toes. Shuli and Rev Bob are great guys. Yucko the clown would have a carryon bag with 15 dildos. I got some great footage of the TSA laughing their asses off. Also when we visited the St Louis Arch while doing a show there, Beetlejuice said he helped build it in 1963.

Dispatches - Michael Herr A Bright Shining Lie - Neil Sheehan Chickenhawk - Robert Mason Also, Matterhorn by Karl Marlantes is a fictionalized account of a platoon of marines trying to take a hill, but it’s very authentic. Written by a vet. Also just wanna emphasize none of these books are jingoistic Milius-type honor/glory crap

I used to work in Naval aviation and the ghost poop thing is all too real. The plane I worked on usually had a crew of 26 and didn't have toilets. Instead, you had these big plastic drums you would pee in. God forbid if you had to shit, you would usually shit in a bag, wrap it up, and hang in in a compartment under the deck so it was generally out of sight. This one dumbass lieutenant thought it would be great to shit in the pisser before he rotated out pretend he had no idea who did it. When someone shits in the pisser it usually sinks up the whole plane and whoever has to dump out the pisser gets a gnarly surprise. Accelerate your life!
