There’s a ‘lost’ Hoke Mosely novel, Grimhaven. It was never officially published but can be found relatively easily. I read it a few years ago and it’s wild. When I was a freshman in high school my older brother gave me a vhs tape titled ‘Life in the Fat Lane 2’. It progressed from chubby women to a morbidly obese lady in the final scene. Definitely more than enough quality content to work with
