Ben’s “fuck you” after “I’ve had spaghetti quash” had me crying.

mumbles march

My first thought too, he comes up on Maintenance Phase A LOT

The Eric Roberts Experience

Rogers, promise me you'll try Betty Burgers in Santa Cruz. Best burgers in California

Jean-Marc Misirlou

As an Aussie, I’m curious as to who the crazy Australian guru was? Was it Pete Evans possibly? He was this ridiculously popular tv chef, appeared on numerous cooking shows. Then had this insane fall of grace when it was revealed how insane he was. Anti-vaxer, Trump supporter, all the wacky health alternatives. Crazy story.

Brash Tracks

I thought it was Ashton Kutcher!

Gorilla costume RECENTLY used as a tongue in cheek prominent plot piece in the 2017 movie Pottersville MichaelShannon, IanMcShane, ronPerlman, JudyGreer.

As a local, the way the movie played with the geography of the Triangle was extra jarring. Durham is mostly swamp, UNC and Duke are The Same Campus, and there's apparently a mountain with giant waterfall just "a ways" outside of town.

Jon Smith

Cary Elwes, the Cilantro of actors

Pumpkin Pie Hair-Cutted Freak

I only read audiobooks, like my idols, The Action Boyz.

Clance Scranclenuts

My Godzilla Minus One viewing was similarly fucked by little asshole kids. These douchers let their 3? 4? Year old just do whatever they want the entirety of the movie. People are the worst.

Fan_of_giants_420_69

I'm guessing that Gabrus hasn't googled Rick Steiner lately

Max Power

He's a good Stanger and we love him very much :)

Jonathan D Lackey

As soon as Rodgers said Freeman and Hepburn have the same speaking cadence....I definitely hear it. Not the same sound but the way they speak in their actor voice is very similar.

Miles

Stanger doubling down on “I got no strings..” was the hardest I laughed in awhile and he did do a good job Rodgers! Lol

Swimfan69

Go go go!

AdamGH

Minus One is good and all, but they made lots of Godzilla movies through the Action Boyz era, at least a few should be eps.

Raw Dog McQuade

This felt like a long criminal minds

David

Muscle muscle!

Hell yeah?

Antti

Fun fact: Jay O. Sanders's character from Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider is in one of the later books revealed to have been a serial killer all along! He's the nefarious Mastermind! Those books were total garbage.

Antti

In case you're genuinely asking: Bill Nunn played Duh Duh Duh Man in New Jack City.

Michael Pemulis

Couldn't make it past episode one of Reacher, season two. And just judging the first episode, of the new season of True Detective, it stinks.

Nathan Rodriguez

For some reason it hurts me that you excluded Gwildor from your little list.

David D.

The Reacher people are on the phone, and they would like to shorten your blurb to just “Do Not Pause”.

David Bauer

He’ll always be one of Jim Garrison’s people in JFK for me.

David Bauer

I’m here for more bitching about Reacher. Mad magazine would call it Retcher.

Andrew Braswell

And now I’ve gotten it. Sweet quenching release.

Chuck smash

Ok…Perry is a great actor

Michael Pemulis

Someone's thirsty for a reprimand.

Buzz

His hairline is insane

Swin

I thought he sounded like LeVert

Don Knott Steiner

I need further discussion on Reacher, and it’s choice of music. Episode 7 has an extremely cheesy scene with the cast singing to an acoustic version of Crazy On You.

Joe

Anyone else think Casanova sounded a lot like Armie Hammer?

Gil Slits

I grew up right outside Spaghetti Proper

Andrew Braswell

Rodgers, you sleeping okay? Lil grumpy this ep.

Keegan Fulford-Wierzbicki

I don’t know where to post this but the shadow wolves need to see it https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSNKhJ7qQ/

ronyronirone

Okay, the Tommy’s discussion really bummed me out. I love Tommy’s.

Jack McReynolds

The kickboxing sparring scene got to me. The lack of head gear is whatever if it's supposed to be light sparring. The not having mouth guards in was bad. Also, the lack of shin guards or the really weird old school full contact karate foot guards was kind of upsetting. Then they were wearing tennis shoes? What the fuck?!

John

Also I had no idea that was Brian Cox until listening to the episode.

John

Jay O Sanders is burned in my head from being the reverend Tuttle on True Detective.

Megan

Yes! With a nice creepy plastic mask. Like a chubby baby face or something.

Dan

After class, we reallzed the better bit would have been if I came out of the model room nude but wearing an ape mask.

Dan

We had an animal drawing class where the model is either a dog, horse, pig or whatever the school was able to get each week. I was an older student and had a good relationship with the teachers. While talking with one of the teachers for the animal drawing class, we came up with a dumb bit where the cIass will be told they are getting an ape, and I would dress up in a gorilla costume and pose. On the last day of classes during my senior year, the teacher (who I will keep nameless, respectfully) burst into my studio and said he found an ape costume. It was really shitty, I think it was missing a foot or a hand, the fur was gross and matted, and it smelled. A bit is a bit, so I went to the class, and got into the model's changing room to get dressed. The teacher goes on a long lecture about how rare this is, to have a live Gorilla, and not to scare the animal because he might tear off your face and genitals. The Dean and the rest of the faculty all show up to punch up the joke. It is a full house in this, the same classroom that Thomas Eakins, John Singer Sargeant, and David Lynch studied. I open the door and walk out onto the model stand in the center of the room. Nothing happens. The students don't even bat and eye. The only reaction is a few students bicker over having an obstructed view. The teacher comes to the stand, to set up the lights, and he whispers "I can't believe this, we are bombing!!!" I ended up doing a standing pose for 3 hours under hot lights dressed up as an ape for not one single laugh. I'll have to look around, I have a few of the drawings laying around here somewhere. I should add more than a few students in that class and the teachers have major careers. Also, last week the Pa Academy of Fine Arts went closed it's school after 200 years.

Dan

I attended the Pa. Academy of Fine Arts, where i majored in painting. I know you have referenced figure drawing, so this story might interest you.

Jenn

Ben, just for the record I agree with your Morgan Freeman Katharine Hepburn similar cadence take. Knew what you meant immediately

Hammerthrust Von Sexron

What about the Reacher urethra torture scene?

Secunda Nocta

My wife came up with this idea but I think it’s right: they turned Reacher into gigantic Rain Man

Conor Hunter

I thought “10 point text message” was a slightly hyperbolic description of a long text message… hearing it’s actually 10 points had me cracking up.

TimSharterofPittsburgh

Who is the da da man?

David Bauer

Goddamn, the Action Boyz were firing on ALL cylinders on this episode! To anyone who listens to this episode before listening to the Conan the Destroyer episode: welcome.

Jason E Becker

To think this franchise was almost revived with Idris Elba as Cross with the writer of Terminal Velocity at the helm but Tyler Perry threw his weight around at Lionsgate because he wanted a non-Madea franchise.

Quint Essential

Sweet kiss, beautiful girls... simpatico. I showed her my North Carolina.

bloodflart

My friend was fucked up in Vegas on Halloween in a Gorilla costume, went down the elevator and when he got to the bottom ding! there was a guy in a banana costume. They looked at each other for a second then my friend started chasing him around the hotel

Rathercurt Chunhard (Will)

My mom worked in HR at a meat packing factory until about 2004 and yeah, there is a big difference between the smell of "a hot dog" and the smell of "being hot boxed by hot dogs." Visiting that factory is the reason I stopped eating meat between ages 4 and 28

Timo Supremo

Good ep, kind of a bummer they didn’t bring up the fact that Mythbusters actually proved that shooting the milk wouldn’t… wait hold on… just finishing the ep and they do mention it, my bad.

Thomas

Goat balls! That’s rookie stuff… bull balls here… just 4 balls now!

Erik Kang

Gorilla costumes are back! This new inflatable one is very popular now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hwp3DQbItWY

Conor Hunter

I’m watching it now for the first time and couldn’t avoid the comments… but feel validated for thinking the same thing during the credits. It felt like a Law & Order episode.

bloodflart

kiss my grits

Erich Geiger

Bucatini is the upscale spaghetti, I feel like I'm in Tuscany when I put some a Prego and green can parm on it

bloodflart

Well I do declare! How in tarnation did ya reckon I'd figure out ya'll were pullin' a fast one with that there fake accent? It's like tryin to catch a chicken hawk in a coop full of fog!

This misspelled podcast is the only spot Cyboman, Dar, and Pedo Yoda gather in one place.

I may hav seen this, and I also think I may have nvr finished these types of movs, this is a fun surprise from the Boyz.. anyone else perceive the obv doppelgangers : AlngCameaSpid,BoneCollector,Twisted

Courtney

The prologue text relates to the historical figure Casanova. He was extensive memoirist and one of his earliest described sexual encounters is between two sisters. To a writer like James Patterson, the parallel of two sisters was probably enough backstory to use “Casanova” as a killer’s name. Although why not Georgie Porgie who kissed girls and made them cry? Casanova was adamant that seduction should include no violence or inebriation (which tells you something about the time period), so by historical and literary standard this Casanova fucking sucks. Would watch a Georgie Porgie horror movie though.

Joe B

Janitors worldwide love this show, in which the episode length routinely runs longer than the movies it covers, and has been memorably described as “foul, debasing, and low”

Eugenio Triana

Saw that the doughboys were an answer on Jeopardy and now I’m wondering what prompt would give you “What is the Action Boyz” for 400

Canadian Day Player

Sam Levinson will remake Entourage with pansexual twenty something women

Berko Pierce

Shoutout to the bookstore employee who figures out what book Ashley Judd is looking for with nothing to go on except “it’s a kids book about being brave”

Dave McM

The books are brutal to read. Waded through a 2-in-1 of the first two (the Morgan Freeman films) bored on a holiday. Utter tripe. The current Reacher series was a pool read too. If you aren’t enjoying it now it doesn’t get better, and it’s a pretty close adaptation. 😏

Eliana

i am so glad you chose this movie so i could rewatch it. i saw it when i was too young in the late 90s and it gave me nightmares. this is my Quick and the Dead. so for the last 25 years i would occasionally see or remember Kiss the Girls and be like "omg that movie is so scary". so now it's nice to have closure on it, because it is most definitely not.

Joe B

Hadn’t seen this before but Casanova voice had me really looking forward to this episode

Megan

Have a vivid memory of my Aunt Sue carrying this book around with her pepsi and cigarettes. She is off the stoges now but still brings her own Pepsi to every event. Can't wait to listen and probably double comment.

Chabnormal

Morgan Freeman will always be Alex Cross to me. 'Along Came a Spider' is the other one. It's a 3hr podcast they may mention it. Not Alex Crossdresser Hilarious, they do at the very f'ing beginning.

Turkey Creek Jack Johnson

Cox and Elwes going pound for pound in the accent department on this one

Julian Neuweiler

These blokes couldn’t give less of a fuck about this movie, and this episode is all the more better for it

Don Knott Steiner

“Kiss The Girls”? Is Joe Namath the killer?

Pål Christian Andersen

Kiss the girls, Hatcher. I'm begging you!

Gilligan(The marooned Ranchero)

I turned this into a double feature with Along Came a Spider which features an appearance by Michael Moriarty who played everyones favorite ex-con piano player Jimmy Quinn in Q the winged serpent. Made for a pretty good Saturday. Well, if you forget the 2 hours of snowblowing to start the day anyway. (Lousy smarch weather)

John McClane

Kissing girls eww ! We here only kiss Stanger.

The Buffmaster

That was Cary Elwes in the 90s. If he was listed in a non-comedy. He was the villain. I remember watching it in the cinema, thinking exactly what you did 🙂💪

Cole Trickle

Actual thing about the movie though, I watched it for the first time a month ago with the GF and the second I saw Cary Elwes name in the credits I said “Oh he’s for sure the killer”

Cole Trickle

Finally, a movie based on the song from The Little Mermaid
