So while Gabrus floated out the "Neh-vay-duh" pronunciation as a joke, that is the correct pronunciation for Nevada, Missouri. It's where my grandparents were born and raised. I had a lot of friends growing up that thought I had a developmental problem when I would tell them where I was going on holidays or summer vacation.
