I feel like the epitome of lazy song choice to remind you where the movie takes place was when “California Love” fired up at the beginning of the movie that was already called “Battle LOS ANGELES”. Of course, it was filmed in Louisiana, but that’s beside the point.

Great coincidence. I saw Mr Majestyk was streaming free this week. I’d never seen it so watched and re-listened to the episode (great ep, fun flick). In it the Boyz say how Bronson should have had a role as a baseball manager and then pointed out that he’s sort of like Lou Brown in Major League. Is Bronson basically a mashup of Lou Brown and Jake Taylor? Gammon’s grizzled, mustached, dried out attitude and face but Berenger’s athletic physique and insane tan he can pull off.
