I was 8 in 1995 when I saw this movie and Hackers, then my dad got our first dial up modem shortly after. One of the first things I did was send an email to the National Association of Hackers, explaining that I was learning about computers and good at keeping secrets and wanted to learn the ways of the black hat. Immediately after I sent the email I realized it was an Australian website for hackey sack players and I freaked out and sent a bunch of follow up emails saying I was joking at first and then eventually I was just begging them not to tell the FBI. I was terrified for months I was going to be arrested and banned from computers like Dade 'Crash Override' Murphy (nee Zero Cool)[idk how to do diacritics].

Artichoke Basille's was so big of a trend in the late 00's that a spot near me, about 500 miles down I-95 from NYC, tried to get away with naming themselves "Artichoke Basil" (There may have even been a small "+" the name for that extra layer of "100% original, don't sue.") That lasted about 6 months before the logo on the door was hastily painted over with a much more generic name.
