As announced this week, Chapter 2 (1st half - V0.15) of A Shot in the Dark is now in Early Release (for $20+ Patrons/Subscribers as of today) and the official public release on Patreon, SubscribeStar, and Itch.io will happen on August 24.
We've received a lot of positive feedback so far from those of you that have played V0.15 and we can't wait for everyone else to play it!
The remainder of Chapter 2 (V0.2) is already in development and we are estimating that release will happen in October/November. There are no new features in that update, and we've hopefully fixed the issues that caused delays with the V0.15 release.
We feel like we are finally getting into a groove with A Shot in the Dark, and we are optimistic that things will go much more smoothly in the future. (Famous last words? ;) We hope not!)
Prince of Suburbia
We are still on track for a September release of V0.8 of Prince of Suburbia. With the art almost complete, Josselyn will tackle most of the actual script writing in the next few weeks, and then the majority of the coding will happen after that.
TheOmega has begun the tedious work of replacing the existing sprites with auxiliaryout's new sprites. We are also remastering a few of the very first animations that appear in the game to match the style and quality of the later animations.
Players that have already played the game should be able to access the new animations from the gallery without replaying the game. We can't wait to see what fans think of the new art!
The engagement around the beach update (V0.9 and V0.95) this week has been fun to see! We always welcome any and all suggestions for the future updates of Prince of Suburbia, including the epilogue content.

V0.8 is still planned to release in September. The coding and writing will likely always be that far behind the art as the game is developed in the release cycles. Prince of Suburbia is a less complicated game than A Shot in the Dark so the coding doesn't take as long. The same thing goes for the writing side of things. A big reason for this is because it's a kinetic visual novel/no branching. For efficiency we wait until we have the art ready to go to power through it all at once. I don't think we said the update would be released with certainty by early September. If we did mention it, it was probably an estimate or goal. Anyhow, barring any major setbacks the V0.8 update will be out in September and we think it's going to be a good one! We'll update everyone once we are close and have a timeline next month. We do have two added pieces this time around as far as development is concerned. They are are the newly updated sprites in auxiliaryout's style (old scenes will be re-coded to adapt to them) and voiced-moans from Haruluna for all of the sex scenes in the upcoming update.

The coming update is V0.8. V0.9 & V0.95 will both be beach updates since it will involve a lot of time-intensive illustrations & animations.
Update 0.8 was supposed to be released in early September but right now it's 30% content writing and 10% coding. So will the update take longer than expected?
I'm confused, is it version 0.95?
