I think I got it: Jaws=Shark, Cruising=Bear, Low Down Dirty Shame= Keenan IVORY Wayans= Elephant, Escape from LA=Snake. Shark, Bear, Elephant, Snake… all animals that appear on karate gis in the background of the final tournament in Sidekicks (1992)

The Two Old Queens podcast just recently ended their run, great show, check it out, and they did a really funny episode on Cruising. "You are not the movie Cruising."

Local independent theater did Cruising as a double feature with Manhunter about a year ago. Pacino's "undercover" work in the gay scene is mostly going to leather bars and gawking like some kind of tourist night after night; sometimes he talks to a bartender and walks away, or dances in an uncommitted way by himself. (To be fair to the film, I was being extra critical of it since I had just watched friggin' Manhunter.)

Unofficial ABZ Stats: Escape from LA will make Carpenter the most covered director on the pod with 8 movies, pulling ahead of tied with 7 with Walter Hill. Also, in my scientifically created "ABZ Power Level" advanced stat which gives movies a score based on recurring cast and crew of already covered movies, Escape from LA is the 2nd highest scoring movie that has yet to be covered (Just below Lethal Weapon 4 and just above Lethal Weapon 3).
