With the "Last Action Heroes" talk, wondering if the ABZs know about "Bronson's Loose" and "Bronson's Loose Again," two books by this guy Paul Talbot about on-set/behind-the-scenes Bronson stories focusing on Death Wish and other ABZ favs. - https://a.co/d/bpSSiep - https://a.co/d/7jaAtFb Talbot does a lot of the commentaries on Bronson movie disc releases as well. Pretty good stuff for the janitors out there.

Slight spoilers for the new Mission Impossible. I don't remember seeing any blood in the movie (except for a close up of a knife tip at someones neck near the end) and once I became conscious of it about hour in it really fucked with me. I'm not expecting Tom Cruise to end the movie looking like Ric Flair but a little colour would be good with the amount of stabbing that happened in this one. Do we think this is a one off or are big studios going for that Marvel feel?

I can’t believe one of my favorite BtAS episodes was brought up. That was such a unique and cool ep, haven’t seen it in…decades, never heard discussed anywhere? But it’ll still pop into my head. Specifically, the scene where the girl walks into the sewer(?), robin follows her, and puts it all together. What a weird core memory to hear brought up.

Its weird to root for “movies doing well” but I’m glad Barbenheimer ended up working. I really think the online buzz (which was not created by the companies) lifted both films. Especially seeing how many of my Instagram friends who never post themselves going to the movies talked about both. I like the idea of non sequels and original ideas being hits. Hopefully the industry takes note and learns something after some a lot of these old franchises have been run into the ground. But I’m not holding my breath
