I like the book but the circumstances of the president parachuting out the Marine 1 seems too weird. Also, the Russians refusing to speak with anyone but the president even though they are aware the US has already been hit with nuclear weapons seems unlikely. They would want as much information as they could get, they may still launch against us but I think they would be trying get as much information as possible. Otherwise, I think the book is great and terrifying.

Anyway, Jacobsen has a good recent podcast with Dan Carlin where she gives a summary of her book. She also does have a great voice for all of you perverts.

For real! I look at the discord and really just think about what could have been. The worst "fans" ruin a scene so fast. Honestly, kind of hurt to hear how the Boyz just didn't feel wanted which they are completely justified feeling given how noisy that server is.

Agreed DropKing is a good dude, I was a member for a while and always hoped we could get more questions for hosts/live watch along stuff like Rodgers did for that recording he had of “Childs Play”, would have even been happy talking about movies/TV that actionboyz and girlz would have been interested in with other fans. Unfortunately a lot of people in there feel like they have their own agenda and think they have their finger on the pulse of Actionboyz culture or that they are really funny and can get some kind of recognition amongst the fans in the discord. Sometimes I hear them roasting us using the nerdy fan voice on the podcast and think” Yup we as a whole deserve this” haha. Anyway, great episode Boyz thanks as always.

I love the podcast and even got a voice message played on a Shadow Wolf episode... But the Discord is a nightmare. I was so excited to hear from The Boyz and maybe ask a few questions. No way that can happen on there. I feel bad for the mod in there but if they ever try to set up a server again they need to set up some bots and restrict user roles.

A friend of mine told me they went on the Seinfeld tour in NYC that was hosted by the real Kramer that Michael Richards character is based on and apparently he used a racial slur while hosting the tour. So they were both racist which makes the Michael Richards tirade even more evidence of accurate casting. Also, Michael Richards attempting to apologize on Letterman while Jerry Seinfeld is a guest would make an amazing shadow wolves cold open. To Gabrus's question: "Whip-its" refers to nitrous oxide that comes from those little metal chargers that look like CO2 cartridges for a BB gun. They're supposed to be used to charge cans of homemade whipped cream. I've never personally seen anyone use them for their intended purpose.

This film is egregiously stupid, features awful acting and I loved it. I skipped this one back in the day so I had blast catching up with this late Silver gem. The intensity of the action scenes was amazing, with endless exploding cars and quality squib work. It was obvious why Crawford's acting career went nowhere but Baldwin was almost just as bad. He was all stilted line readings and Zoolanderesque posing. The scene where he tried to pull off a John Woo style double pistol pose was hilarious. He looked a like proper gobshite as he dropped out the frame while shooting. But the action is good and the 90 minute runtime flies by. So thanks to the Boyz for pointing me towards another overlooked gem.
