I know a guy who used to be the treasurer of the dga and I actually asked him who makes the most money. He immediately answered “Jimmy Burrows”. Didn’t even have to think about it for a second. He said that other directors may pull in bigger overall checks but hands down Burrrows makes the most in quarterly residuals over anyone else. He said he was pretty far in the lead. I asked him who number 2 was and he said “Andy Ackerman”. He directed a shit load of seinfeld and a million other things too. This was probably 8 years ago so maybe it’s changed by now but Burrows rakes in that mailbox money like no other.

That review from "Who are these podcasts" was so unfunny, unnecessarily snarky and self-important. I listened for a few minutes before I noped out, they just seem to hate joy. They dump on Rodgers laughing, they imply the theme is unoriginal... I guess... I thought the entire thing was a parody from Rodgers at first, just the unfunniest people droning on about how funny they are and everyone else isn't. Like the kids from Hackers grew up to make a show. Worse, the WATP cast sounds like a "wacky" morning radio show collided with an NPR podcast commercial and somehow ended up with less charisma than either.

For years after its release the 3000 miles to Graceland poster was in the window of the Eagle grocery store in AK where I lived. That poster was enough for me not to rent it. Now that I’ve seen it I realize I should have trusted my gut. This one sucked in such a specific way that only a wholly bad 90s movie can. Worth it to get the boys riffing Elvis shit though episode was 5 stars

Have you ever seen any of the crazy gym guys out in public? I used to commute with a guy on the same bus, who behaved insanely at the gym, and we both just avoided any kind of interaction. I think he was ashamed, but I’m just projecting. My friends used to call guys who overused spray deodorant Pink Floyd’s because of their song “Careful With That Axe, Eugene.” I know it would be easier to call them Eugene, but that name was being used for an entirely different type of dude.
