The Hitcherhiker is one of those shows I remember watching a repeat of, and was disappointed it wasn’t some cool action western show about a drifter solving problems in the southwest. The cool looking Hitcher himself, and the intro are a little wasted on an anthology show. But looking back it’s okay for what it is, just nowhere near as sleazy, and fun as Tales From The Crypt was.

That was pretty fucked up. But seeing the truck scene at like nine years old gave me serious nightmares and invasive thoughts for a long time. I still doubt that I could watch it today at 43. It's not even what he does, it's that he makes the guy choose what happens. Very Saw before Saw.

Have the Boyz ever covered The Hitcher? It absolutely fucked me up watching it as the FOX afternoon counter-programming movie on a Sunday when football was on other channels. Also, I always remember Nash as having been Nancy Travis, but she apparently was Jennifer Jason Leigh.
