@Stanger As a Webber-era Kings fan, what are your feelings on Jason Williams aka white chocolate? I grew up not too far from where he and Randy Moss went to high school in West Virginia. Since we were a state with no pro teams, it wasn’t uncommon to see Kings and Vikings swag around rural WV in the late 90s. I still go back and watch those Webber/Williams highlights once a year. Truly a blue chip duo.

My first job as a teacher was at Frankfort High School in Indiana, home of Case Arena as seen in Blue Chips. It is as cool in person as it looks on screen. Apparently the production offered to pay for central air to be installed in the school as part of the deal to film there but the corporation refused because they were worried that they wouldn’t have the budget to pay the electric bills. When I was there in the late oughties it still had no air conditioning. Some brutal first days of school for sure. Oh and Frankfort’s mascot is the Hotdogs.

Agree with the boys on all levels. I like sports gambling, I think college players should be paid, and I think that overall that the way sports gambling is heading it will destroy many peoples lives but also makes watching sports in general less fun because they're so inundated with gambling ads that are fully integrated into broadcasts. The state of Florida just went through with sports betting through the Seminole Tribe as long the state gets to tax them on it. My program I run for the state was set to get a percentage of the tax revenue from this new agreement. We're set to receive over 300 million dollars when we were expected to receive 50-75 million lol Unsurprisingly the state vastly underestimated how much people gamble.
