The Counsel tried to imprison her so in Faith's eyes everyone she could trust has already turned against her. That would leave the Mayor as a way to not only move forward for her but also get back at all the others for everything they have (and have not) done. No one really cares about her. They have all let her, a teenage girl, struggle in that dirty dingy motel room for how many months now. I want to believe in Faith too but I see plenty of reasons for her to turn away from Buffy and the rest at this point.

Also remember it's usually the most extreme people that have the loudest opinions online. Most of the normal people often stay quiet. You never know when your opinions may actually line up with the average person more than it appears so in the comment section.

I think that makes a lot of sense to me. Her storyline is very exciting and gripping, BUT I cannot say that I like her as a person... yet. That may very well change the further I go along! I'm quite loyal to Buffy and the gang though, and she's not treated them very well at all right now so... I'm a bit cross with her 😅

Yes okay Faith might've tried to pin a murder on Buffy, and assaulted and strangled Xander, but her hair is beautiful so how could I possibly be cross with her?

Oh, Faith is most definitely fun but I am so mad at her 🤣 How dare she blame it all on Buffy and then have the guts to go to Giles about it? Thank goodness he knew who to trust. I gotta say though, I admire her nerve. She's brave and fierce! She's not as cautious as Buffy and she definitely has the "See, Want, Take" attitude down pat. I can see the appeal of her, but I'm still wearing my cranky pants whenever she is around 😅 I do not know what will happen but I have a feeling that she is the last of the slayers that we will see born. We've had two now and I just have a feeling there won't be any more as the story would be too same-old when a new slayer shows up. In that case if I am right, then either Faith never dies ORRRRRR worst case, Buffy dies which just leaves Faith as the only slayer.... By then, maybe Faith has changed for the better? Just thinking out loud hehe 🤔🤔

Faith is compelling as a character because, as Taylor Swift most recently put it, it must be exhausting always rooting for the anti hero. Faith it's Buffy's opposite, but it doesn't mean she isn't fun. And isn't worth investment. It doesn't mean that you're wrong to be outraged by her behaviour, or disappointed, she has her supporters because she's just that little bit different.

I like Faith as a foil for Buffy and as a part of the Slayer lore storytelling and how she contrasts with Buffy. I don't really pull for her as a character, though. So while some will love Faith for their own reasons, don't feel bad for feeling angry at her or disappointed. Mostly, I would just advise to feel however you want to feel while you're watching (that's why we're here!), but always leave room for storytelling.

People can like a character for what they bring to the show without agreeing with their actions. Try not to let Faith's popularity with fans color your impressions of her; after all, we're here for what YOU think!
