So why do I find it sort of wryly amusing that you all know that when I sat down to this episode, cheerful and excited, that I was about to feel LIKE THIS 🤣😭
It is very much like watching a beloved movie with a friend, a movie that you've seen many times and they're only just seeing now. You know what's coming during a certain scene, so you watch them from the corner of their eye, wanting to see pain and anguish. That cannot just be me that sort of likes it 🤣
By the way, I am still in full denial. This just didn't happen. It's just a blip. Nope. Nope. Nope.

That is so true! Veruca is unapologetically awful 😅 Honestly, I am torn with what Willow said about "it's not the same" because to me, it kinda is. They both cheated on each other. I don't know... It's a tough situation!

Willow specifically says "It doesn't compare....not with what you and I had." So I think she may have been referring to the fact that Oz was her first. She lost her virginity to Oz, which is a very special thing. And that happened after she and Xander ended things and she and Oz got back together. Just how I read that moment.

I agree. Veruca works as a great foil to Oz in this episode. Very similar to how Faith works as a foil to Buffy I might add. Both Veruca and Faith enjoy what they do, but they enjoy it a little too much. As for Willow's statement that "it doesn't compare", I think she was referring to how Xander and her had only kissed and played footsie under the table whereas Oz and Veruca slept together (as wolves of course). Whether or not it does compare, I think Willow's reaction fits her character. Whenever she is hurting, Willow tends to lash out. Take her attempting to torment Oz and Veruca with a spell this episode as an example.

Awww I was actually not looking forward to you watching this one. I remember being devastated the first time I watched. I had a strong feeling you’d feel the same. I loved Oz and Willow together just as much as you. (((Hugs)))

I know I'm in the minority here, but I really like Veruca. She's unapologetic about who - or what - she is. She's not evil for the sake of evil, as so many monsters are. Nor is she after world domination or anything nefarious like that. She's just a werewolf, and enjoys it without moral quandary. As for Oz, he's certainly not without fault. Just like when he first found out that he's a werewolf, he insists on handling it alone rather than ask for help. And then there's Willow. I don't agree with her "it doesn't compare [to what Xander and Willow did]". Oz made a mistake, yes, but so did Willow last season. And unlike Oz, she did it repeatedly and in the full knowledge that it was wrong. Again, I know I'm in the minority here. And I'm not taking Oz's - or Veruca's - side in this. Willow didn't react well, but Oz and Veruca are definitely to blame. And what was that with Spike?

You're right. I did know how you'd be feeling by the end of this episode. But I didn't find it amusing. I love how you feel every emotional moment like it's happening to you, and I knew this would wreck you.
