This episode feels like a 2-parter because of everything that happens. Such an amazing episode. And kudos to you for making the River/Pong and Melody/Song connection, even if it didn't fully bake until the end (which it didn't for me either).

In the doctors wife (one where the tardis is put into that woman’s body) she keeps saying something about a forest and a river to Rory! Loved watching along with you as usual! ❤️❤️

Nothing to forgive! And Moffat (the show runner of 11th and 12th Doctor) does it deliberately. Playing with expectations, everybody is supposed to first think that Amy was talking about the Doctor instead of Rory. And sometimes they throw logic out the window just to have a great visual (for example the Astronaut)

One of my favourite obscure details, in Silence in the Library the Doctor says to River "I'm a time traveller, I point and laugh at archaeologists" And the first time he sees Melody he does exactly that

Yep. If he was going to be involved, it was going to have him lose his head by the headless monks, his body would then be theirs but his head would continue on and that's how he would eventually become the Face of Boe. But John Barrowman was too busy filming Torchwood at the time. In-universe wise it makes no sense why the Doctor wouldn't get Jack's help. If you're going to war, you'd surely get the 1 person who can't die.

Yes, many of us have been waiting quite a while for this episode and your reaction to it but once again you ferreted out the salient points before the story lead you there. From here on in it gets pretty wild and I can't wait to see it. Love and light as always.

Don't wonder too much about it not always making sense. It's not just the jumbled timelines, sometimes it's just the writer. For example don't expect the Astronaut suit to ever really make sense, I tried, but it just doesn't (at least with the information that is given in the show). But what a beautiful reveal. And you saying that River Pond and Melody Pond sound alike at the beginning of the episode just made us all grin.

This is my favorite episode. The Doctor has some great quotes, but "Good men don't need rules, now is not the time to find out why I have so many." always gets me.
