I think this episode was back in the day of linear TV the first Angel episode with Wesley that I saw while still remembering his character from Buffy (S3). You can imagine my reaction....

I should have picked up on the fantasy/dream table sequence right away. It just seemed so bizarre! Yeah, I reckon a teenager sinking their father down to the bottom of the ocean is not really something we can blame on raging hormones 🤣

Exactly what Trey said. I love a lot of it but it's all rocky and divisive. Deep Down is such a fantastic opener. I rewatched it last month and was struck by the lighting and multiple plots. Looking forward to Juliettes reaction.

Surprise, Connor is a teenager. He is acting like a lot of teenagers I have known over the years (not the sinking his father in the ocean part though). Fortunately most of them grow out of the obnoxious years, some don't. We have seen a very similar scene to the opening dinner feast around the table. In 'The Body', Buffy S5E16 we saw the whole Scooby gang around the table at a Christmas dinner as if nothing had happened, obviously Buffy's fantasy/hallucination.
