Doctor Who 6x11 The God Complex

I found the story and writing to be very clever, if that's the right word to use. It definitely seems like a thinking persons episode, and it really gave ME a lot to think about once I finished!
I mentioned in the last episode how I felt it would be dangerous to travel with the Doctor, even though it would be incredible. I do love how those worries of mine again rose to the surface here, but it's not just me who was thinking it!

Rory didn't have a room. He was being shown the fire exit.

Remember when Amy first joined the Doctor he told her that one day her life may depend on remembering that he was just a madman with a box and so it came to pass. It perhaps could have been better if Amy and Rory had just had enough after the last episode, as they wouldn't be the first or the last companions to reach breaking point.

It makes sense to me that the sacrifice of faith the Doctor made was mutual - the Doctor also sacrificed his faith that he could keep his friends safe.

Now I'm imagining The Doctor sitting across a desk from someone filling out forms and repeatedly flashing the psychic paper for various reasons. lol

There's an episode of the original run of Doctor who that has the energy of faith effect "vampires". When I saw the title "Vampires of Venice" I was hoping for a return of the faith energy. Alas, they were a different kind of creature, but I was glad to see it used here.

I am a weirdo who wants to see the Doctor arrange all the house and car stuff, though! I'd love to see that 🤣

It can't be just me that wants to know EVERYTHING about that, though 🤣

Another powerful episode. Not just the first part but the last part when Doctor actually leaves Amy and Rory for their own good. I think he finally recognizes how hard it would be to lose someone he really cares for. He has lost before but Amy and Rory are different. After all, they are his in-laws.

The Doctor can drop them off at their house, pop into the TARDIS go back in time a few months, sort out the house and car and it will be ready in the future when he dropped them off earlier! Thats time travel for you. This is one of my favourite epiosdes of this series, great premise questioning the character of the Doctor, the supporting cast is excellent, there is some great dialogue and I love the directing.

The Doctor gave Donna a winning lottery ticket, he can surely get some money to buy a house and a car.
