Okay, someone's got it in for me

Some entity named "ShoPro" has filed copyright claims against my latest Q and A video, claiming they own the copyrights to not only the two Urusei Yatsura themes I used in it, but also "High Priestess" by Uriah Heep!
Color me skeptical that the same person or firm holds all three copyrights. I think what happens is that anyone can make a spurious claim of copyright infringement, and YouTube acts immediately to yank the "offending" material, without even verifying whether the claimant is legitimate.
[Edited: Thanks to research done by one of my patrons, I do have reason to believe that ShoPro is Shogakukan Productions, which does make their claim legitimate.]
So I guess I'm going to have to re-do the video to remove the disputed material. In the meantime, the video is MIA.
If I could find a better alternative to YouTube, I'd use it.

Just curious, why couldn't Dailymotion be an alternative? If it was a question of exposure then of course YouTube is the one to stick with, but since your videos are as you said in an earlier post unlisted and accessible only to patrons that shouldn't be an issue, should it?Also, comedian/pundit Jimmy Dore uses Vimeo for his Patreon videos so perhaps that could work as well?

Isn't there a "fair use" clause that allows for short clips (i. e., less than a certain amount of time)?

Thanks for the info. It does look legit, and I was thinking of ways to edit the video; unfortunately it looks like it'll take some reshoots. So it might be a few days.

According to Google, ShoPro, AKA Shogakukan/Shueisha Productions, does hold the rights to the UY franchise. Not sure who owns rights to Heep, but given you're facing a legit 2/3 majority already, even though the third claim seems incidental and possibly a filing error, you're better off editing the music out regardless.

That's all really shitty. I wish YouTube made people prove they were the copyright holders for any ban.
