I can’t help but agree. Keeping with the excellent character development, I would have expected a reaction from one of the group maybe even leading to Rami acknowledging out loud that she has a problem. Or the group coming to her aid with ways to mitigate her shortsightedness.

This is such a strange expression: "He entered his mind." It make sense, but one would have imagined he was always in his mind.

Someone should have called Rami out, that's not cool what she said. Rami has an addiction/serious mental illness, and that's not a joking matter. Her addiction almost got her AND Ruwen killed , and it shattered Ruwen's mind, and had long lasting consequences where he only just got his ability to read back. That was just a mortal librarian's trap. They're talking about going to the collection of 9 gods of knowledge. I hope Ruwen talks to Rami and tells her what she said is not cool, and she should have known better, even making that statement casually implies she won't be able to control herself, therefore he won't be bringing her anywhere near the muses, because she could get both of them killed or brain dead. When a friend has a mental illness and almost kills themselves and another friend because they can't control their addiction, claims they're sorry, yet keeps making comments implying they'd do the same thing over again; it needs to be addressed and is not healthy.

Wow sift no worries about going through portals anymore? Maybe a joke about an ugly flying cat the leopard bat
