Well first of all the robes were from Miranda so he wouldn't dare complain about it.

It's so so good. I love the way it's headed. Just one thing though, when Ruwen had a row with the Prince in the previous book, he despised that the Prince used terium in his clothing. Ruwen thought it's waste of a precious metal to be used this way. I understand its a very different situation where he need to show his dominance among the alchemists. However it will be nice if there is an explanation and a bit of his reluctance to use it.

And for doing just that, what discoveries we made! What new depths of the world we discovered. New from old. "As above" - in the material world, literally "so below" - in the shadow world. We have the same actors magnified and in different roles. Another expression of balance.

You are right. When I first read it, I thought maybe they bought it, got it as a quest reward from the Black Pyramid, or something else. It never occurred to me that they may have made it themselves. I didn't think Grand Step Masters would have time enough to also be Master Alchemists!

Wow! Amazing and surprising developments! Finley is a literal Gennie! What wonder! And Padda and Madda are also Grand Alchemists! Who'd have thunk it? It seems all is even more not as it appears in the Black Pyramid than we previously thought! It's so exciting to see new things come out of old places! Lol.
