Happy New Year! 2024 raced by in a blur. Especially the last portion because I was working very hard to finish book 11. The good news is that I’m almost done. It’s possible I’ll finish this weekend although more likely next week. That gives me time for a proper revision before Travis gets it on January 20th.
I haven’t had time to think about 2025 resolutions. If you have any good ones, put them in the comments. Book 10 and this one both required heroic writing sessions that consumed me toward their deadlines. I don’t want to do that again in 2025, which means better planning.
The biggest planning mistake I made in 2024 was spending too long trying to get traction on Royal Road for Divine Awakening. I really wanted to make RR work, as I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, but it wasn’t meant to be. Soon book 11 will be done and I can give Divine Awakening some attention. I’m pretty sure I’m going to give up on Royal Road and just keep Divine Awakening in the Patreon.
I opened up chapters 43, 44, and 45 for Root.
I opened up chapters 46, 47, 48, and 49 for Harvester.
I added chapter 50, 51, 52, and 53 for Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, Divine, and Axiom.

That is all fantastic! I went to an engineering and science school and the EE and ChemE had the hardest classes. So good for you!!!!

Oh, yeah, sure, I don't mind at all. There's a lot of reasons for why I picked this theme specifically. Mostly it comes back to the fact that I'm finishing my bachelor's in electrical engineering this summer. And I kind of view this as like having put down the fundamentals and needing to build something solid that'll last longer on top of it. There's also aspects of my personal understanding of myself in this. I have had a hard couple of years, had cancer (live in a country with proper health care so i didn't have to pay and i'm completely fine now) , learned a lot about myself and who I am, prioritizing my own happiness and what that means. In that aspect, I feel more rested in myself and ready to build upon this foundation.

Less resolutions and more goals. Get healthier, make a video game, learn to dance. I should probably add write a story on there but I feel those three a big enough as is.

I don't really like to have a single goal for a year so what I usually do is try to pick a theme for the coming year. My past year was the year of being Social and this year is the Year of bricks
