My best friend and I call this “meninitis”: an infected man can be simultaneously intelligent and dumb as a box of rocks. Meninitis is both contractable and contagious. Some are born with it, some catch it from falling in love, some are stupider in groups. If an otherwise educated and accomplished man says or does something incredulously idiotic, you can be sure it’s meninitis. Note: only women and enbies can diagnose it, and trans men are equally susceptible.
