Haha yeah, basically the old versions were made when I had just finished with Persephone and I was still stuck doing a lot of horizontal panels out of habit even when it didn't work very well. Now I'm actually taking the time to organize them better from the thumbnail stage and it's helping a lot :)

The art is dramatically better now, of course, but so is the layout, and I can’t believe it took me this long to figure out why. You’re making the panels vertical! And it’s brilliant! Subjects get more space, you have to draw fewer backgrounds, and every facial expression is magnified! I also love how you fit more into each panel, like Gomi’s reaction to Kizarasunga buying meat, and the military reject behind the other patrons in the first panel of page 40.
