Like Talizmyn, I’m wondering if there’s a pronunciation issue where emphasis on different syllables changes meaning. It’s not super clear to me how much of the southern language they know. The meaning of Kizara’s name comes up in chapter 1 between Jintu and Rantu (“lovely fire-colored threat”) and again in chapter 3 where she explains to Jintu (“passionate threat”). Was Makzusa their sole source of info or would they have been tutored in languages growing up so they would have had some basics but not the sort of details a native speaker would know? That she was selected by Miidro is not surprising. The man is taking every chance to muck things up.
