Conway - Update 12: One Decision

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a good labour day.
1st of the month, and you know what that means. New Update for all of you!
Important changes!:
There is one important change that'll affect those of you interacting with Nomax. He has received a second stat behind the scenes. It just didn't feel like the one stat every character has plus the variables were enough to really track the type of relationship the player can be having with him.
That new stat has been implemented into previous scenes and the main "relationship" stat for him has been adjusted as well since it's no longer trying to somehow contain two metrics. That means that if he is a character you are going for, then you will not have the correct stats going forward, and that will affect gameplay and send you down wrong paths. I try to avoid these type of changes for obvious reasons, but it felt necessary in this case. So if you're interacting with Nomax to any meaningful degree, I'm afraid you'll have to start over to get the correct points.

Then, what's new in this one? Quite a bit, actually! I'm starting to get into a good rhythm with them. This also is Televassi's first foray as a writer for us, so now hopefully we're at a point where no matter what circumstances, we'll probably have at least one writer helping me out at any given update (Unless all 3 are busy otherwise, but fingers crossed that that won't be very often).
Let's begin with the story then:
Last Update left us off at the decision to either leave or stay, and so of course that is where we'll continue. We have a scene for each side, leave and stay, and a second VERY ROUGH and unfinished scene for the leave side. That one is by no means "playable" in that sense, but what the flop, the game is in active development, so I assume you all understand that not everything's gonna be polished at all times.
The leave section contains the new 18+ scene. It's a bit of a tricky one to get to. Basically need to fuck Nomax on day 2, then have the tryst with Julian in the evening of day 2(high relation, win dice game, ask below the belt), and in that scene, pick the option to encourage Julian to go meet Nomax. Then of course on day 12 pick the leave option and there ya go. That'll unlock the optional 18+ section for it.
This is meant as more of a hidden optional scene, so it's quite tricky to get to with a lot of prerequesites that need to be ticked.
Reworks:
Additionally to story progression, we also have a reworked section in this one! The first scene of day 1 got a makeover curtesy of Sandy. That starts shortly after you meet Julian & Wolf on the ship, and ends at the Dinner decision. It's a fantastic rework. I'm not a massive fan of that early writing of myself, since it was all essentially done before i even really knew what I wanted to do with this game... So it's all rather clumsy and weird.
No more though for that section! The characters are given a bit of a more careful treatment, Nomax doesn't just magic away his seasickness from one moment to another (though it still is way easier/quicker than it probably would be), and for the nitty gritty peeps among you we've now actually got a realistic-sounding exit of the harbor!
Sandy really did a bang up job with this, so if you enjoyed that section before already then maybe give it a re-read!
Art:
Art wise we have a few things as well!
We have the Rajeeyah v2 rework, that you can see in the image above.
We have the artwork for the 18+ scene with Nomax & Julian
And, in theory we have another Maritime Menagerie Character. He didn't quite make it into this one, since there wasn't a use for him just yet, but never hurts to have someone in the back pocket when needed.
New features:
Fanart gallery! So if you need even more of an art fix for the characters of this game, then we got you sorted with some art from other amazing artists!
Cheats. Only one for now. To make it work you first have to plop in the code "wilddog", then start a new game from the beginning, and then you may also need to restart the game if it's your first time using a cheat code. The code "off" will turn cheats off, and revert you back to whatever you have unlocked naturally. (same way to apply it)

Erm, the Arthur interrogation is after the bet, and doesn't really have any influence on it either way. You take part in the dice game and win, that roll is random so you can save beforehand and just reload if you want to force yourself to win. Wolf doesn't matter either way for this section, so whatever you do with him doesn't have any influence. And you do not go to the fife lesson, but spend the evening with Julian. Fife lesson is again a different thing. It does require a high relationship with Julian, so that might be the cause for it.

I could use help with the secret scene, I managed to do Nomaxs scene but as soon as I do the bet (no matter which option), Arthur always forces me to go with him and later Wolf forces me out of the Fife Lesson. So I'm not sure how to maintain High Relation with Julian and ask below the belt without Wolf getting annoyed at me nor Arthur to not bother me.

Yoo that rewrite is so good, I wanted to say something on it in discord but wasn’t sure what was public for patreon spoiler concerns. Also kinda curious what the cheat does? I hope Wolf isn’t too upset with finding James sleeping on watch. I liked the venting choices to Wolf last update! Hopefully James can earn that mysterious grump as a potential friend and confidant.
