Proposed changes to my Patreon

I'll try to be short here, because this is an important announcement. I want to change a few things on my Patreon campaign, and I intend to apply these changes starting with the May release.
Here's how I categorize my releases since early last year:
- Original character
- Fanart character
- Cartoon character
- Bonus character
I've been able to consistently release bonus models on a monthly basis, even though I haven't advertised them as part of my official releases. This makes four models per month.
From now on, I intend to add another character to my official releases, and I'm going to redefine my categories to make things more predictable to all supporters. This is how the new categories would look like:
- Original character
- Games/comics character
- Live action character
- Anime character
- Western cartoon character
I wouldn't have bonus models anymore, as they would be officially integrated into my official releases. But I think with these categories I'll be able to make a wide variety of models every month, which is something I like very much. I'm not sure if you guys would prefer a more focused approach, though, so please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
Because of the increased amount of characters, I intend to skip the pose polls from now on. I know they're nice to bring more participation from you guys, but I'll have to be quick with all these sculptures, and waiting for pose results will slow me down. I know I'll make bad choices, but that's unavoidable in any case, I believe.
I'll keep making character polls. However, they'll probably not be always monthly for all categories. I may just go with the second place for a next month, or my own preference.
I may have to get back to releasing four characters a month in the future, in case things get too tight for me, and I hope you'll be understandable if that happens.
Overall, though, I'm pretty excited about it! This is going to be less stressful to me, because I intend to take less commissions to make it work, and it's always great to have more time to make the kind of models I usually release here.

Yes, that's actually one of the main reasons for this change. Instead of dealing with multiple clients due to my side gigs, I'll now focus more on my Patreon models, which will make me less stressed out. Or at least I hope so :P

Exactly, the cartoon category was a bit muddled to me, and I really wanted to make more anime characters as well, so the split is a big win for me. I hope my releases will look nice once they come with the new plan :)

Having popular polls, popular characters are sometimes inevitable, although curiously 2B's never even been suggested here. But yes, I do hope to bring more variety as a whole :)

Definitely! But like I said, I'll be less stressed out this way than having to take care of parallel commissions and other freelance work. I mean, the workload will stay more or less the same, but not having to deal with different clients will do great for my mental health. I'm just hoping I'll be able to recover the lost revenue with more patrons or more sales of my models.

Exactly, that's what I wanted to address. I miss making more anime characters, for example, but they rarely got a chance in my polls, even the cartoon ones. I also really enjoy making live action characters, and I often wished I could do more of them. I guess now I'll be able to fulfill most of my goals :)

Deciding character poses is difficult, and I started making pose polls, for example, to get some help in this area. But I do miss choosing my own poses, and also some characters from time to time. The bonus characters were created because I wanted to make my own stuff sometimes, and since they won't be around anymore, I hope I can make my own choices from time to time.

Splitting Anime and Western Cartoons is a very smart move. Been with you awhile and don't see that changing anytime soon. If at any point things need to change, as long as your open and forthcoming I'm sure your Patrons will support you. Love your work and am excited to hear this news!

I think these changes will help even out the model selection and give a better selection to all members. Sometimes it seems the polls are dominated by whatever game is popular at the time or some obscure Japanese cartoon character a lot of us have never heard of. Regardless of what character is picked you always do a great job bringing it to life so the important thing is dont burn yourself out. I'd rather 3 or 4 really great models then 5 ok models because you are over worked and tired.

This sounds great to me since I think it will allow for more variety. I also like it when the artist gets to do a their own preferences e.g. pose and such since ether community tends to always want the same things (this is true of all Patreons too I'm not trying to pick on anyone). Excited to see how it goes!
