Clung onto some sliver of hope that Gekko wasn't just some stereotypical evil mastermind character archetype, but he only got more cliche towards the end of the arc. Had the cliche smirks when no one was looking, him randomly putting in the effort to murder people in order to recruit a child for whatever reason (???), and a silly lackluster ending. If you do another villain tier list, Gekko is definitely a low tier. Sucks what happened with Ryo though, kinda hoped we got some more closure on him. What does he even do now? He's very capable so he could probably manage on his own, but he's still a child. Gekko filled in the shoes for the family that was taken from him (by Gekko himself nonetheless), but now he has nothing but a friend I guess. A friend doesn't really cut it though. Realistically he's got a slew of problems to deal with. Kinda tragic.

Boruto is great that even the fillers are worth watching. Except for any of Hanabi’s team fillers, skip those at all cost.
