the reason why in the anime Goku is still massively stronger than Trunks is because in the anime Goku absorbed the power of SSG into his base in the Battle of Gods arc, in the manga that never happened, but even still in the anime Trunks is still powerful enough to match SSJ2 Goku

yeah i think that the manga arc is still much better than the anime version. Like for example, full power ssj2 trunks is equal to full power ssj3 goku causing Goku to use his god form to beat him is something I prefer. I think jack should read the manga once he finishes the anime + the broly movie to see the differences and read the manga exclusive arcs.

for me personally, in the manga, this arc is better power scaled and better written, but as a result of that certain characters become completely sidelined and useless, and some people are not as menacing and are not as intimidating at all in the manga version of this arc as compared to the anime

I understand your courtesy about Bulma slight more importance than ChiChi. To keep it simple. Bulma is one of the first 2 people we meet outside of Goku. She’s the second longest running character in the series and directly helps them while Chi Chi retired from fighting and is a housewife (something she’s always wanted)

If you didn't know, the DBS anime was ahead of the manga and other than the main plot points they are very different. For example in the manga Beerus, both Trunks's, Goku and Vegeta all play mario kart lol. This whole arc is way better in the manga ngl
