@HappyDude He might be able to get away with showing it larger, but it's not worth the copyright risk honestly. Patreon is probably less risky than YouTube, but I remember awhile back Jack was suddenly only 1 copyright strike away on YouTube from his entire channel being potentially terminated. It's really not fair, under fair use laws reaction content should usually not be taken down like that but these big companies have a lot of leverage. I much prefer the syncing up style anyway, it's ideal the way it is and it's a great system.

As soon as Merry started speaking to them for the last time, my eyes started flooding uncontrollably. Again. Oda is really unparralelled as a writer in making us care deeply about whatever characters he introduces, and he's so experimental that he did not hesitate to even give the Going Merry it's own soul. RIP Merry.

It's not exactly illegal but if it was a full reaction and a company wanted to take it down they would probably be able to. That doesn't really happen on patreon but if it suddenly started to it would just be a giant headache for Jack. Doing it this way is more future-proof. It's really not that bad though, if you use the pop-out player it's basically the same as watching a normal full-reaction but with the ability to move Jack to any corner of the screen or adjust the volumes individually, etc.

Since Jack makes money off patreon, if he was to show the full screen that would basically be like making money by streaming us anime he doesn't own. Eventually he would be taken down for copyright legal stuff or something like that.

In my opinion, what made Usopp set his mind on having to say goodbye to merry was Franky way back on Water 7, when he sees the crack on the base of the Merry, he says that deep down he knew it was the end of Merry but he didn't want to accept it until that point... but yeah the fact that they all went to W7 just to save Robin, proved Usopp that "he was wrong about Luffy" and that he won't let any of his friends/crew behind because they "are weak" or became "useless or an inconvenience" to him... Usopp had that fear of being left behind for being the weakest of the crew and thought Luffy would do the same to him at some point just like Usopp thought Luffy decided to "abandon" Merry when it became "useless to them" ... And by this point, Usopp knows the real reason why they had to say goodbye to Merry and that Luffy and anybody on the crew would never let a friend behind...
