Because he's potential the most overpowered fighter on U7. But it did make sense for him to not be in the ToP due to the rules of no killing, and Buu is powerful, but not smart and would probably be ringed out fast.

Yeah, definitely love seeing Buu fighting again. Those face slaps he gave Basil reminded me of when he did that to Supreme Kai, I think, and that shit was devastating. I'll never understand why they try so hard to sideline Buu in Super when he's one of the more interesting fighters with his unique physical properties and magic.

There were new directors from pretty much this episode (couple before) onwards, it's mid at times but gets much better specifically the actual animation I'm talking about*

Top's name in the Japanese version and everywhere else is Toppo, idk why the dub changed it. And yes there's a new filter and new directors for the rest of the show. The coloring and outlines are a bit weird and the art on some scenes looks unfinished in these first few episodes but it gets better as it goes on
