regardless after he pulled him away from the portal, he was no longer in direct danger from Fred's actions. It was all on Gunn at that point.

But Fred wasn't going to stop in trying to kill him, and Gunn knew that. Didn't matter if he saved him. She'd try again. He took that away from her by killing him himself. It was both an act of love, but also super messed up for Gunn to take her vengeance from her.

Sometimes he has to skip a week of either SG1 or SGA to do a 2 or 3 parter of either one. Since we just had 3 SGA's and then 2 SG-1's, it's going back to 1 of each this week - probably tomorrow I'm assuming.

I mean, technically after he saved him from falling in it was no longer on Fred, so if he just chucked him in at that point, it's fully on him.

If he died by portal, it's on Fred (no matter if Gunn threw him in, he was going to get sucked in anyway, like the desk). By snapping his neck, he "saved" Fred from being a killer, and put that on himself.

On the one hand, you'd think "why wouldn't Gunn just shove the guy in, it would have been less shocking than snapping his neck". On the other hand though, if anyone knows how to open a portal back, it's him.

priceless reaction to the end of episode 5. such an unexpected moment. gunn definitely shouldn't have taken her revenge, so to speak. but it also shows how much he loves her. he was willing to take on the burden of killing someone so she wouldn't have to live with that guilt.
