Another 10-days development cycle has finished which means it’s time to update you on the progress with the upcoming release, plus share new details about what’s coming :) Let’s go!
First of all, the art-preview (available in the following post). Today it’s almost finished line-art for one of the new locations - The Hufflepuff Common Room! Once the line-art is finished, which should happen very soon, it will be colored. After that the final stage will be for Siserg to evaluate it and polish the overall looks until he is satisfied with the results.
Next, what’s been done during the past dev. cycle:
- The game menu has been reorganized into “Main story” and “Extra” for easier navigation between the chapters.
This is just a reorganization, so all the existing content will still be present and available to play. - The foundation for the new chapter has been finished and the work has begun on insertion of the main content. More on the events of the chapter will be mentioned down below.
- The development of the spell-casting mechanic is nearing its final stage, with the last pieces of the required art being drawn right now. Here’s a short work-in-progress example:
As it was mentioned previously, this is a part of the changes we want to make to how the spellcasting / stat checks work in the game. At the moment everything depends on a number that you have in a certain stat, and the goal of these changes is to switch to actual interactive checks, such as filling the spell’s pattern correctly, or completing a short minigame. As a note, these interactive checks will have an alternative mode for those who prefer a more linear flow of events and don’t want to be distracted by such stuff. However, we believe that more interactive events will help make the flow of the game more alive and immersive, so we can’t wait until the mechanics are finished and implemented into the game, so that you can check them out and say what you think to us :)
- A couple of bugs have been fixed, such as Daphne’s “persuasion” table event art in Act 1 Chapter 5, goals disappearing from the journal in Act 1 Chapter 1, a crash in Susan’s cake minigame, and a few others. Thanks for reporting the bugs to us <3
The development of 0.11A continues to be the main part of the development cycles at the moment, so all of the changes above, together with other tasks, are a part of this continuous work.
Next, let’s look at 0.11A itself. First of all, we need to let you know that despite our efforts, we won’t be able to release the next content update before the end of the year. Therefore, the month we are currently targeting for the release is January, 2024. This delay has mainly been caused by the fact that as we looked over the scenario during the development, we’ve been expanding and adding new bits of art here and there to show the story events in more detail and to make them more diverse. As a result, the artists said that they will need more time to finish everything, despite constantly working on the arts. So as always we chose to let the people work in a more relaxed environment instead of forcing everyone to crunch and meet the hard deadline of 31st of December. We hope you will understand and will enjoy the results of the work when the update is out :)
Next, let’s have a brief look over what’s happening in the new chapter in terms of story and main events. As you already know, the waifu is missing, Marcus has been poisoned and on top of that an inspection from the Ministry is coming very soon to investigate the events that were happening in Hogwarts up to this point.
With such context in the background, the chapter will consist of two major parts. Just like in the original version of the chapter, the first part will be dedicated to Marcus figuring out what to do next and then collecting the ingredients for the Polyjuice potion, and then brewing this potion.
The second part will be completely new and will have Marcus trying to figure out what happened to the missing prefect by participating in Hogwarts’ life in her shoes (and other clothes) under the effect of the Polyjuice potion. This idea is already present in the existing chapter, but we’ve expanded it and added additional flavor to it.
Ultimately, our goal in this chapter is to make the events more diverse and reduce the usual “summon a person and talk to them” as much as possible, instead replacing them with more interesting stuff. And of course, there will be lewd and erotic goodness that will make everything even better :)

Закончился еще один 10-дневный цикл разработки, а это значит, что пришло время рассказать вам о ходе работы над грядущим релизом, а также поделиться новыми подробностями о том, что нас ждет :) Поехали!
Прежде всего, арт-превью (доступно в следующем посте). Сегодня это почти готовый лайн-арт для одной из новых локаций - Гостиной Пуффендуя! Как только лайн-арт будет закончен, что должно произойти очень скоро, он будет раскрашен. После этого Сисергу предстоит отполировать недочеты, пока он не будет доволен результатом.
Далее о том, что было сделано за прошедший цикл разработки:
- Меню игры было реорганизовано в категории "Основной сюжет" и "Экстра" для более удобной навигации между главами.
Это всего лишь реорганизация, так что весь существующий контент по-прежнему будет присутствовать и доступен для игры.
- Основа для новой главы уже готова, и началась работа над вставкой основного контента. Подробнее о том, из чего будет состоять глава, будет упомянуто ниже.
- Разработка механики произнесения заклинаний близится к завершению, и сейчас рисуются последние фрагменты необходимого арта. Вот короткий пример работы:

Как уже говорилось, это часть изменений, которые мы хотим внести в то, как работают заклинания / проверка характеристик в игре. На данный момент все зависит от уровня, который достигнут в определенной характеристике. Цель этих изменений - перейти к реальным интерактивным проверкам, таким как правильное заполнение заклинания или прохождение короткой мини-игры. Отметим, что у этих интерактивных проверок будет альтернативный режим для тех, кто предпочитает более линейный ход событий и не хочет отвлекаться на подобные вещи. Однако мы считаем, что больше интерактивных событий помогут сделать течение игры более живым и захватывающим, и мы не можем дождаться, когда механика будет закончена и внедрена в игру, чтобы вы могли оценить ее и высказать свое мнение :)
- Было исправлено несколько ошибок, таких как арт в сценке "убеждения" Дафной за столом в 5 главе 1 акта, исчезновение целей из журнала в 1 главе 1 акта, сбой в мини-игре Сьюзан с тортами, и другие. Спасибо, что сообщаете нам об ошибках <3

Далее давайте вкратце расскажем о том, что происходит в новой главе с точки зрения сюжета и основных событий. Как вы уже знаете, вайфу пропала, Маркус был отравлен, и вдобавок ко всему очень скоро прибудет инспекция из Министерства, чтобы расследовать события, происходившие в Хогвартсе до этого момента.
Учитывая такой контекст, глава будет состоять из двух основных частей. Как и в оригинальной версии главы, первая часть будет посвящена тому, как Маркус решает, что делать дальше, собирает ингредиенты для оборотного зелья, а затем варит это зелье.
Вторая часть будет совершенно новой, в ней Маркус попытается выяснить, что случилось с пропавшей старостой, участвуя в жизни Хогвартса в ее туфлях (и другой одежде) под действием оборотного зелья. Эта идея уже присутствует в существующей главе, но мы расширили ее и придали ей дополнительный вкус.
В конечном итоге наша цель в этой главе - сделать события более разнообразными и максимально сократить обычные "вызови того-то и поговори с ним / с ней", заменив их более интересными вещами. И, конечно, не обойдется без разврата и эротики, которые сделают все еще лучше :)
Давайте завершим голосованием. Раз уж мы заговорили о сюжете и основных событиях, мы будем рады узнать, что вы думаете о сюжете Невинных Ведьм в целом. Это поможет нашим сценаристам понять, что больше всего хотят видеть в игре наши игроки. Итак, какая часть сюжета игры вам нравится больше всего? Сам сюжет или же эротические события? So I do enjoy the story and the presentation but I find myself more and more disinterested by the MC and continue to support mostly for new lewd stuff. I'm less genuinely interested by where the story goes next than when I finished the old plot. Sorry for the rant everyone, but as the question was more one the story I ranted a little. ^^

In the new version, the MC is often directed by the events happening around him and does things because it was the only solution he could think off. In the old version, the MC was more clear on his goals (personal and pervy) and tried to direct others to his goals. For example Susan, in the old plot the MC was obviously trying to do pervy thing with her but he was also sincerely trying to solve the issues of shyness and lack of confidence of Susan. Even if she is not his main waifu. In the new plot, the MC interacts with Susan because the overall plot demanded it (the aunt asked a favor, the MC needs a favor, etc.). In the old plot the MC was sincerely trying to help the waifus while in the new he mostly comes across as always trying to keep his job.
