Another month of development is finished and it’s time to look at the current progress, plus see what’s coming next in 0.11B and 0.12A. Let’s begin!
First, the art preview. This time it’s a female student from Hufflepuff, Hannah Abbot, who will play her role in a side quest which will be a part of 0.11B patch.
Next, let’s look at what’s been happening during the past development cycle. First of all, we’ve released 0.10.7B and 0.11A! It was a bumpy development road, but in the end we’ve managed to build a working version (almost) without major bugs.
Speaking about bugs, during the past week we’ve been monitoring and collecting feedback from you, and subsequently applying the information to identify and fix the bugs that were missed during the testing phase. As a result, fixed versions 0.10.7-beta-fix1 and 0.11-alpha-fix1 will soon be released on our website and other platforms.
Apart from fixing the bugs we’ve also worked on minor additions and changes while we had some time between the releases. Some of the changes that were implemented are:
Added a green screen mode for the dressing room (the button is used to take a screenshot and will not be present on the final image).
Extracted Halloween prologue into its own section in the Extra menu for easier navigation.
Slightly adjusted the encounter with a mysterious stranger near the lake.
Amulet of True Vision will now have instant cooldown if cheats are active.
Updated music theme for Potions Classroom corridor.
Full list of changes will be available in the changelog once the update is out.
Now, onto what’s coming next. We’re currently working on both 0.11B and 0.12A. The first patch, 0.11B, will be aimed at adding new side content, including a side quest, an interactive event in the Potions classroom, as well as Live2D animations for Minerva’s and Elf-maid’s scenes. On top of that there will be other additions, which might appear in one of the next news posts. We want to release the update sooner than later and actually meet the deadline set on the roadmap, so we’re adjusting the amount of content accordingly in order to try and make everything in time.
The work on 0.12A at the current moment consists of writing the scenario and some of the dialogues for the main story. This patch will continue the story of the first chapter in the second act and will have intimate interactions with the waifu. This patch will also include the reimplemented scenes with all four prefects which should neatly tie into the continuation of the romantic relationship between Markus and the girls.
Let’s take a gander at one of the additions planned for 0.11B, namely the event where Markus is acting as an observer over the clumsy students in the Potions Classroom while Snape is gone doing his shady business.
On the work-in-progress image above we can see the interface for the activity. Markus’ main goal will consist of two things. First, he has to notice when the student made a mistake and is about to become affected by a failed concoction. Once the incident is active, Markus will have to quickly decide which counter-potion he has to make in order to save the student from her demise. He will then mix the ingredients and conduct specific actions, depending on the complexity of the potion, and finally apply it onto the student. If everything is done correctly the student will be saved and Markus will continue his observation duty. Finally, based on how successful he was during this activity he will get compensation from Snape, and possibly more… intimate reward from the grateful student. Who knows, she might even visit him after classes to get a recipe for the amazing potion Markus was able to brew.
We plan to introduce this event in batches across multiple patches. The main reason for this is to be able to split the load on the development and first introduce the main mechanic and some of the initial encounters in the first batch, and then gradually add new students / encounters in the next patches. For example, in the first batch the first level of rewards will be available and the students will mostly be the side characters. In the subsequent batches the prefects might join the activity and act as “bosses” with additional rewards.
This approach also helps to plan the development in a better way where the artists don’t have to work on the same task for weeks and possibly months. Instead, a batch will be made, the work will switch on other content, and once it’s done, we’ll work on the next batch.

I liked the new 0.11A update! The story was cool and the events were interesting. Can’t wait for more!
Overall it was an OK update. Nothing outstanding, but the events, story and new stuff overall were fine.
I didn’t like the update at all. The content was spread too much and the story dragged on and on.
I haven’t played 0.11A yet.

Закончился еще один месяц разработки, и настало время взглянуть на текущий прогресс, а также узнать, что будет дальше в 0.11B и 0.12A. Давайте начнем!
Сначала, арт-превью. На этот раз это студентка Пуффендуя, Ханна Аббот, которая сыграет свою роль в побочном квесте, который станет частью патча 0.11B.
Далее давайте посмотрим, что происходило в течение последнего цикла разработки. Прежде всего, мы выпустили 0.10.7B и 0.11A! Это был непростой путь, но в итоге нам удалось собрать рабочую версию (почти) без багов.
Кстати, о багах. В течение последней недели мы отслеживали и собирали ваши отзывы, а затем использовали полученную информацию для выявления и исправления ошибок, которые были пропущены на этапе тестирования. В результате исправленные версии 0.10.7-beta-fix1 и 0.11-alpha-fix1 скоро появятся на нашем сайте и других платформах.
Помимо исправления ошибок, мы также работали над небольшими дополнениями и изменениями, пока у нас было время между релизами. Вот некоторые из изменений, которые были реализованы:
Добавлен режим “хромакей” для переодевалки (кнопка используется для создания скриншота и не будет присутствовать на конечном изображении).

Теперь о том, что будет дальше. В настоящее время мы работаем над 0.11B и 0.12A. Первый патч, 0.11B, будет направлен на добавление нового побочного контента, включая побочный квест, интерактивное событие в классе зельеварения, а также Live2D-анимации для сцен Минервы и Эльфийки-служанки. А сейчас давайте взглянем на одно из дополнений, запланированных в 0.11B, а именно на событие, в котором Маркус выступает в роли наблюдателя за неуклюжими учениками в классе зельеварения, пока Снейп отсутствует, занимаясь всякими сомнительными делами.
На изображении выше мы можем видеть рабочий набросок интерфейса для этой деятельности (в процессе разработки). Основная задача Маркуса будет состоять из двух вещей. Во-первых, он должен заметить, когда студентка совершила ошибку и вот-вот пострадает от неудачного снадобья. Как только инцидент активирован, Маркус должен будет быстро решить, какое контр-зелье он должен сделать, чтобы спасти студентку от неудачи. Затем он смешает ингредиенты, выполнит определенные действия, зависящие от сложности зелья, и, наконец, применит его на ученицу. Если все будет сделано правильно, студентка будет спасена, а Маркус продолжит свое наблюдение. В итоге, в зависимости от того, насколько успешно он справился с этим заданием, он получит компенсацию от Снейпа и, возможно, более... интимное вознаграждение от благодарной студентки. Кто знает, может быть, она даже навестит его после занятий, чтобы узнать рецепт того самого удивительного зелья, которое Маркус смог сварить для её спасения.
Мы планируем вводить это событие партиями в нескольких патчах. Основная причина заключается в том, чтобы разделить нагрузку на разработку и сначала представить основную механику и некоторые начальные встречи в первой партии, а затем постепенно добавлять новых учениц/встречи в следующих патчах. Например, в первом патче будет доступен первый уровень наград, а ученицы будут в основном побочными персонажами. В последующих патчах старосты могут присоединиться к активности и выступить в роли "боссов" с дополнительными наградами.
Такой подход также помогает лучше спланировать разработку, когда художникам не приходится работать над одним и тем же заданием неделями, а возможно, и месяцами. Вместо этого будет сделана партия, ращработка переключится на другой контент, и как только он будет закончен, мы будем работать над следующей партией.

Мне понравилось новое обновление 0.11A! Сюжет главы был классный, а события - интересными. Хочу ещё!
В целом, это нормальное обновление. Ничего такого, но события, сюжет и новый контент были сносными.
Мне обновление совсем не понравилось. Контент был слишком размазан, а сюжет - слишком затянутым.
Я еще не играл(а) в 0.11A.

Same here, I was supporting the game some years ago but progress is incredible slow, looks devs like to suck cash out of supporters and work slowly ;P I'm still supporting but I lost hope we'll see some significant progress in this decade :]

They are still in the game, it's just that the old content is turned off by default, but it can be easily activated again. This is done for various reasons, but I can say that we would not do that without necessity and factors beyond our control. Regarding the scenes with the main characters, they will come back in 0.12A, along with other stuff, and gradually we'll move most of the existing content into the new plot as a part of new events, or as an updated existing event.

its great, but i wish you could still access the memories from the old plots. 2 of my favorite scenes were deleted in this version :/

I only played a little way a long time ago, then when I heard the plot was being refactored I decided to wait, now I'm waiting for all the old stuff to be moved out and into the new game story, so long wait for me it seems before I go and play.

There is so much content added to side characters, which is all in all great. But with limited resources I feel that the progress with the main characters is sooo slow. I supported you since 2017 and we did not get that far (with the 4 main characters) in all this time...I wish we could concentrate more on that front... With ~4 releases per year we already would not be that fast with continuing the main story for 4 characters, but with the added focus on the side characters, which I feel is a little bit too much, I dont see any real progress for the 4 main characters for the next 2-3 years.... I love the game but this is always on my mind

I played it 3 times now and for me it makes more sense to wait for the finished project. I don't want to build up a repetitive feeling and lower the joyment of your game. Everything good in life takes it time. Maybe I will check it out again when like 50% of the content is fresh for me.
