With a smirk, Marcus made the vial invisible and knocked on the door.
“Ms. Greengrass, this is Headmaster Redblack. I've come to inform you that order has been restored at Hogwarts; you are safe and can go to your House dorms.”
The door swung open. Daphne had cleaned herself up in the meantime, mending and spell-cleaning her clothes, styling her hair, and even fixing her makeup, but there was still the shadow of her experience in her eyes.
“I honestly didn't think you could do it,” she said in her usual mocking tone, and Marcus made up his mind.
Jets of pink mist, obeying his will, rushed toward the girl, instantly enveloping her neck and face, seeping into her nose and mouth... a familiar haze enveloped the Slytherin's eyes; she inhaled hoarsely, stepped forward toward Marcus, tearing at her blouse. Marcus reached out and squeezed her breasts - not too large, firm, intoxicatingly hot; the fingers of his free hand slid up her thigh and higher, higher, up her skirt, sliding aside the soft lace of her panties, sinking finally into the hot and wet…
Behind him, the door creaked menacingly, and something flashed.
“Well, well, well…”
Final chapter
“Well, well, well,” Theodore Nott was standing in the doorway, a condescending sneer on his face. Marcus reached for his wand... “Expelliarmus!”
“... ... ...!” Marcus’s wand flew from his hand as the Slytherin laughed.
“Oh, how the tables turn, sir. You expressed such disgust for me earlier and look at you now. Now it’s you taking advantage of poor Miss Daphne. Whatever are we going to do about this? It would be a real shame if anyone were to find out… Unless… we come to some sort of mutually beneficial agreement.
Daphne muttered something unintelligible and reached for the Headmaster's fly. Nott frowned.
“Petrificus Totalus. Accio antidote,” he deftly caught the vial and, uncorking it, read the spell - but before the girl's gaze could clear, he added: “Somnius! Put her somewhere so you and I can talk like adults.”
Marcus had no choice but to lay Daphne down on the floor gently. Against all hope, he discreetly searched behind her waistband, but there was no wand. It must have been in a sheath on her forearm, but there was no way to get to it without arousing Nott's suspicion.
“What do you want?” asked Marcus defeatedly. He was fully aware that absolutely all the trump cards were now in his opponent's hands.
“Not much, considering the current circumstances,” the Slytherin slipped his hand into his pocket and took out a small black box made of a strange material. “It's a camera. A Muggle one, of course. It's mechanical, not electronic, so it also works on Hogwarts grounds. It takes a picture, like a witch doctor's camera, only still. But in our case, it still is enough to see what's going on, isn't it?”
“What do you want?” Marcus repeated tiredly.
“Straight to the point, I like it!” Nott smirked. “First, you will make my involvement in this case forgotten, literally or figuratively, by everyone who knows about it. How you do it is none of my business: use Obliviate, pay money, intimidate, blackmail - I don't really care. As long as my name never comes up in connection with today's incident.”
“That will be difficult...” Marcus caught Nott's mocking look. “But not impossible, I think. Is that all?”
Theodore arched a handsome eyebrow - just as Snape had done.
“Second, I’ll need you to do the same for Draco Malfoy. Don't worry, he'll pay for what he did, just not to you. And who knows, perhaps he'd prefer you... but that's none of your business.”
“That's impossible! Malfoy's up to his neck in this; his involvement is known…”
“I don't care, sir. I don't care at all. The Obliviate will help you, after all. Or don't you know that spell? I'll teach it to you; it's not too tricky: an esteemed Ravenclaw, such as yourself, should be able to do it.
Marcus gritted his teeth. Of course, he knew Obliviate... and he could, in principle, successfully cast it on any or all of the female students, but faculty members were involved, too. His imagination faltered when he tried to imagine casting a spell of oblivion on Snape.
On the other hand... he had no choice.
“All right. I'll think of something. Is that it?”
“What are you talking about, “Is that it?” Nott was suddenly angry. “No, of course it’s not. You don't think I'd pass up such a unique opportunity, do you? You've been scaring me about Azkaban and other consequences, so just think, what would happen to you, Headmaster, for using an experimental potion on a student and forcing that student to have sex? Something worse than what you threatened me with, I’m sure.”
“What else do you want?” Marcus gave in.
Nott grinned.
“I haven't quite decided yet. Just remember that you owe me,” he demonstrated the Muggle ‘camera’ again. “Remember this: I will come to you with this thing sooner or later and put a final price on your freedom. Do we understand each other?”
“…Yes,” Marcus’s mind was racing with his options: try and attack? He doesn't have a wand, unlike the Slytherin. Wait? He could stalk him at night, but then what? Kill him? Make him give up his camera? Oh, boy…
“That's good. Then, if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way. Your wand will be lying by the stairs. I don't advise you to try to use it against me in any way - I assure you, you won't find me today, but by tomorrow, I'll have a safety net: if anything happens to me, that same day, the Muggle Department will receive some fascinating photographs, accompanied by an irrefutable certificate of authenticity from a Muggle lawyer, just to be on the safe side. Have a nice stay, Mr. Headmaster, sir!”
Marcus’s mind was a haze. He didn't even remember how he fixed Daphne's blouse, straightened her newly rumpled clothes, woke the girl, and told her to return to her House's common room, how he picked up the wand that had indeed been left by Nott by the stairs. How he walked briskly, hoping not to meet anyone on the way to his office. How he had put every locking spell he knew on the door and windows, how he had blocked the fireplace. Throwing Silencio at a curious Sally. How he uncorked a bottle of the strongest moonshine, courtesy of Dumbledore's cupboard.
Then he just sat at the table, drinking the moonshine straight from the bottle, tasting neither the flavor nor the strength, staring into the extinguished fireplace. There was only one thought running through his mind:
‘I don't think I've ever been in such a hopeless and out-of-touch situation.’

Final words
A-a-and that’s how this story ends, according to the results of the votes. Some of the choices were too good to be true, while the others lead to unexpected results. Regardless of the ending, we hope you enjoyed this little experiment! What’s next you might ask? We plan to do several things based on this event. First, at some point in the near future we will release some sort of a document / file with all the major routes and the choices that lead to them. While only two true endings were reached, the story has four true endings in total, since there were four platforms that hosted this event and each of them might’ve reached a different ending. There are also multiple dead ends along the story, one of which was “successfully” reached on VK ^_^
The other thing is of course is the implementation of some sort of an event somehow related to this story, either based on it or referencing similar events. We are currently focused on developing the main patch for the game (0.12A) and don’t have the resources to spare for this particular event, but stay assured, we will add some event eventually since the story is pretty fun and describes something that could happen in Hogwarts any day.

- А ведь я не верила, что вы справитесь, - привычным насмешливым тоном сказала она - и Маркус решился.
Струйки розового тумана, подчиняясь его воле, устремились к девушке, мгновенно обволокли ее шею и лицо, просочились в нос и рот… глаза слизеринки затянула знакомая дымка, она хрипло вздохнула, шагнула вперед, к Маркусу, разрывая на себе блузку. Маркус протянул руку и сжал ее грудь - не слишком большую, упругую, упоительно-горячую, пальцы свободной его руки скользнули по бедру и выше, выше, задирая юбку, сдвигая в сторону мягкое кружево трусиков, погружаясь, наконец, в вожделенное горячее и мокрое…
За спиной угрожающе скрипнула дверь и что-то сверкнуло.
- Так-так-так…
Финальная глава
- Так-так-так, - повторил стоящий в дверях Теодор Нотт. Маркус потянулся было за палочкой… - Экспеллиармус!
- … … …! - сказал Маркус. Слизеринец рассмеялся.
- Все верно, сэр. Вот только теперь это вас … и …, а не кого-то еще. Если мы с вами не договоримся, конечно…
Дафна недовольно пробормотала что-то нечленораздельное и потянулась к ширинке директора. Нотт нахмурился.
- Петрификус Тоталус. Акцио антидот, - он ловко поймал пробирку и, откупорив ее, прочитал заклинание - но прежде, чем взгляд девушки успел проясниться, добавил: - Сомниус! Положите ее куда-нибудь, и мы с вами поговорим, как взрослые люди.
Маркусу ничего не оставалось, кроме как аккуратно уложить обмякшую в его руках Дафну на пол. Ни на что не надеясь, он незаметно пошарил у нее за поясом, но палочки не было. Должно быть, она находилась в ножнах на предплечье, но добраться до нее, не вызвав подозрений Нотта, не представлялось возможным.
- Что ты хочешь? - хмуро спросил Маркус. Он прекрасно понимал, что сейчас абсолютно все козыри были в руках противника.
- Не так уж многого, с учетом текущих обстоятельств, - слизеринец сунул руку в карман, вынул и продемонстрировал небольшую черную коробочку из странного материала. - Это фотокамера. Магловская, конечно. Она механическая, а не э-лек-трон-ная, поэтому работает и на территории Хогвартса. Делает картинку, как колдокамера, только неподвижную. Но в нашем с вами случае и неподвижной вполне достаточно для того, чтобы понять, что происходит, не так ли?
- Чего ты хочешь? - устало повторил Маркус.
- Первое: вы сделаете так, чтобы о моем участии в этом деле забыли, в прямом или переносном смысле, все, кто о нем знает. Как вы это сделаете - меня не касается: используйте Обливиэйт, заплатите денег, запугивайте, шантажируйте - мне все равно. Главное, чтобы мое имя никогда не всплыло в связи с сегодняшним инцидентом.
- Это будет сложно… - Маркус поймал насмешливый взгляд Нотта, и добавил: - Но, думаю, не невозможно. Это все?
Теодор изогнул красивую бровь - точь-в-точь как это делал Снейп.
- Второе: аналогичное требование я выдвигаю по отношению к Драко Малфою. Не беспокойтесь, он заплатит за то, что сделал, просто не вам, а мне. И как знать, возможно, он бы предпочел вас… но это уже не ваше дело.
- Это невозможно! Малфой замешан по уши, о его участии знают…
- Мне плевать, сэр. Абсолютно плевать. Обливиэйт вам в помощь, в конце концов. Или вы не знаете это заклинание? Так я вас научу, оно совсем не сложное: когтевранец точно должен справиться.
Маркус заскрипел зубами. Конечно же, он владел Обливиэйтом… и, в принципе, мог бы успешно наложить его на любого или любую из студенток, но в этом деле были замешаны и преподаватели тоже, и при попытке представить, как он накладывает заклятие забвения на того же Снейпа, фантазия пасовала.
С другой стороны… выбора у него не было.
- Ладно. Я что-нибудь придумаю. Это все?
- Да что вы заладили - “все”, да “все”... - внезапно рассердился Нотт. - Нет, конечно же. Вы же не думаете, что я упущу такой уникальный шанс? Вы тут меня Азкабаном пугали и другими последствиями, так просто подумайте, что будет с вами, директором, за использование на студентке экспериментального зелья и склонение оной студентки к сексу? Что-то похуже, чем то, чем вы мне угрожали.
- Чего ты хочешь? - сдался Маркус.
Нотт осклабился.
- Я еще не решил. Просто помните, что вы мне должны, - он снова продемонстрировал магловскую “камеру”. - Помните, что рано или поздно я приду к вам с этой штукой и назначу окончательную цену за вашу свободу. Мы друг друга поняли?
- Да, - попробовать напасть? Так у него нет палочки, в отличие от слизеринца. Подождать? Подкараулить ночью и… что? Убить? Заставить отдать “камеру”? Вот же…
- Отлично. Тогда я, с вашего позволения, удаляюсь. Ваша палочка будет лежать возле лестниц, и я не советую вам пытаться как-то ее против меня применять - уверяю, сегодня вы меня не найдете, а к завтрашнему дню я подстрахуюсь: если со мной что-нибудь случится - в тот же день управление мракоборцев получит крайне интересные фотографии, к которым будет приложено неопровержимое свидетельство их подлинности от магловского юриста. Это просто на всякий случай. Счастливо оставаться, господин директор, сэр!
Маркус не помнил, как он починил блузку Дафны, поправил ее вновь сбившуюся одежду, разбудил девушку и сказал ей возвращаться в гостиную факультета. Как подобрал палочку, действительно оставленную Ноттом у лестниц. Как быстрым шагом, надеясь не встретить по пути никого, шел в свой кабинет. Как накладывал все известные ему запирающие чары на дверь и окна, как блокировал камин. Как походя бросал Силенцио в некстати полюбопытствовавшего Салли. Как откупоривал бутылку самого крепкого самогона, любезно предоставленную ему шкафом Дамблдора.
Потом он просто сидел за столом, пил самогон прямо из горлышка, не чувствуя ни вкуса, ни крепости, смотрел в потушенный камин. В его голове вертелась только одна мысль:
“Кажется, я еще никогда не был в такой безнадежной и безвылазной заднице”.

ДОСТИГНУТА ОЧЕНЬ ПЛОХАЯ КОНЦОВКА
Вот так и закончилась эта история, согласно результатам голосования. Некоторые варианты оказались слишком хорошими, чтобы быть правдой, а другие привели к неожиданным результатам. Что дальше, спросите вы? Мы планируем сделать несколько вещей на основе этого события. Во-первых, в какой-то момент в ближайшем будущем мы выпустим документ / файл с основными маршрутами и вариантами их прохождения. Хотя было достигнуто только две истинные концовки, всего у этой истории четыре истинные концовки, так как было четыре платформы, на которых проходило это событие, и на каждой из них можно было достичь разной концовки. По ходу сюжета также есть несколько тупиков, один из которых был “успешно” достигнут в VK ^_^
Другой момент - это, конечно, реализация какого-то события, как-то связанного с этой историей, либо основанного на ней, либо отсылающего к похожим событиям. В настоящее время мы сосредоточены на разработке основного патча для игры (0.12A), и у нас нет ресурсов для этого конкретного события, но будьте уверены, со временем мы что-нибудь добавим, поскольку история получилась довольно забавной, и она описывает то, что может произойти в Хогвартсе в любой день.

From the moment I saw the overwhelming preference to take advantage of Daphne, I knew we were heading to a bad end. Cool story overall, wish it turned out better at the end though

It was a great story, a shame it had to end this way, greed over took us, and we suffered these dire consequences. (P.S. I voted for the safe cure route, hoping we would get a favour)

Hmm, the game was at first released with options such as in the end chapter. Having an ending like this is... un-satisfactory. Hints, hints but never really delivering. I rate the DnD campaign 2/10 .
