Another 10-day development cycle has come to an end, which means it's time to share the latest news on the development of Innocent Witches.
Let's start, as always, with an art preview (available in the next post). This time, we’re showing one of the stalls in the Abandoned Wing’s toilet at Hogwarts. It seems this place has kept many secrets. The wall is covered with old Polaroid photos, left there by someone long ago. Just below, there's a hole in the neighboring stall, accompanied by a rather suggestive inscription hinting at its intended use.
Empty bottles, a bra hanging on the wall, worn-out wooden panels, and a tattered magazine create an eerie yet intriguing atmosphere—suggesting that this stall has long been used for purposes other than its original function. What story lies behind all of this? Perhaps you will manage to uncover its mysteries.
Now, to the specifics. Over the past 10-day development cycle, we have been actively working on inserting the content for the upcoming 0.12A release. Specifically, we’ve been integrating dialogues, artwork, and event logic into the middle of Chapter 2, Act 2.
At this point, 23 out of 31 events have been successfully integrated. In this context, an "event" refers to a logically connected part of the chapter, consisting of dialogues, character interactions, movement between locations, and various activities.
From February 10 to February 20, we plan to complete the integration of Chapter 2 and move on to Chapter 3, which consists of 26 events—slightly fewer than Chapter 2.
Work on Chapter 3’s text is nearing completion. Out of 26 events, just 5 remain to be finished text-wise, and three writers are actively working on them. The text is expected to be fully completed this week, after which it will be integrated into the game and also sent to the translator and editor for further refinement in the meantime.
We also traditionally continued working on fixing bugs and various issues reported by players on Discord and other platforms. Huge thanks to everyone who helps us make the game better!
For example, we identified and fixed a rather specific issue that prevented the Lovense devices from connecting to the game under certain network configurations. To resolve this, we held a live call with the player, where they demonstrated the problem in real time, which helped us pinpoint the issue. Based on this, our programmer made the necessary code adjustments, compiled a test version, and sent it to the player for verification. After testing, the player confirmed that the issue was successfully resolved. Hurray!
We continue to closely monitor your feedback to promptly address any reported issues. If you encounter any bugs or errors, don’t hesitate to report them, and we’ll do our best to fix them as soon as possible!
Once we finish work on the release 0.12A, we plan to revise and update certain game mechanics to ensure they either feel like a natural part of the game or are streamlined or removed altogether.
One such mechanic is the earning and spending of Galleons. Currently, the system is quite basic, which isn’t necessarily a problem, but we believe it could use a refresh or improvement. We haven’t thoroughly explored this yet, but once 0.12A is released, we plan to analyze how players earn Galleons (or other currency) and how they spend them. The main goal is to make in-game currency feel meaningful and well-balanced.
We also want to make the process of earning currency more engaging and interactive so that it adds an extra layer of fun and challenge to the game. While these are just preliminary ideas, we will take a deeper look into this after completing the work on the current release.
And of course, an equally important question is what exactly Galleons can be spent on. The team already has many ideas, some of which are based on player suggestions gathered throughout development. However, final decisions will be made when we thoroughly review the earning mechanics to ensure that spending is logically balanced with income and naturally fits into the gameplay.

Подошел к концу еще один 10-ти дневный цикл разработки, а это значит, что пришло время поделиться с вами новостями о разработке “Невинных ведьм”.
Начнем как всегда с арт-превью (доступно в следующем посте). На этом арте можно увидеть одну из кабинок в туалете заброшенного крыла Хогвартса. Судя по всему, это место хранило немало тайн. На стене — старые полароидные снимки, оставленные кем-то давно. Чуть ниже — дырка в соседнюю кабинку с характерной надписью рядом, которая недвусмысленно намекает на её предназначение.
Бутылки, бюстгальтер на стене, обшарпанные доски и потрепанный журнал создают ощущение, будто эта кабинка давно использовалась не по назначению. Какая история скрывается за всем этим? Возможно, вам удастся её раскрыть.
А теперь к основным новостям!
В течение прошедшего 10-дневного цикла разработки активно велась работа над наполнением следующего релиза 0.12A. В частности, продолжалась вставка диалогов, арта и логики событий в середину второй главы второго акта.
На данный момент процесс вставки завершён на 23-м действии из 31. В данном случае под «действием» понимается логически связанный фрагмент главы, включающий диалоги, взаимодействие персонажей, перемещение между локациями и активности на них.
В период с 10 по 20 февраля планируется завершить вставку второй главы и перейти к интеграции третьей. В сравнении со второй, третья глава содержит меньше действий — 26.
Работа над текстами для третьей главы уже приближается к завершению. На данный момент из 26 действий остается дописать 5, чем активно занимаются три автора из команды. Завершение работы над текстами запланировано на текущую неделю, после чего они будут отправлены на вставку в игру, а также переданы переводчику и редактору для дальнейшей обработки.
Мы также, по традиции, продолжали работу над исправлением багов и различных проблем, которые поступали от игроков в Discord и на другие платформы. Спасибо всем, кто помогает нам делать игру лучше!
Например, была идентифицирована и исправлена довольно специфичная проблема, которая не давала подключать устройство Lovense к игре при определённой конфигурации сетевого оборудования. Для её решения мы провели созвон с пользователем, где он продемонстрировал возникшую ситуацию. На основе этой информации наш программист внес необходимые изменения в код, после чего была собрана тестовая версия и отправлена игроку на проверку. После тестирования игрок подтвердил, что проблема была устранена. Ура!
Мы продолжаем внимательно следить за вашими отзывами и оперативно исправлять выявленные недочеты. Если вы столкнетесь с багами или ошибками — смело сообщайте нам, и мы постараемся их устранить как можно скорее!
После завершения работы над патчем 0.12A мы планируем пересмотреть и обновить использование некоторых механик, чтобы они либо органично вписывались в игровой процесс и ощущались как его естественная часть, либо были упрощены или вовсе убраны.
Одна из таких механик — заработок и трата галлеонов. В текущем виде она остаётся довольно базовой, что само по себе не является проблемой, но мы считаем, что её можно освежить или улучшить. Пока что мы не занимались этим вопросом подробно, но после выхода 0.12A планируем проанализировать, как именно игрок зарабатывает галлеоны (или другую валюту), а также как и на что их тратит. Основная цель этого обновления — сделать валюту значимой частью игрового процесса и сбалансировать её использование.
Кроме того, мы хотим сделать процесс заработка более интересным и интерактивным, чтобы он добавлял больше вовлеченности и челленджа в игровые активности. Пока это лишь планы, но после завершения текущего патча мы обязательно займёмся этим вопросом подробнее.
И, конечно, не менее важный вопрос — на что именно можно тратить заработанные галлеоны. Внутри команды уже есть множество идей, и часть из них основана на предложениях игроков, которые мы собирали на протяжении всей разработки. Однако окончательные решения будут приниматься на этапе детальной проработки механики заработка, чтобы расходы были логично сбалансированы с доходами и органично вписывались в игровой процесс.

If the grind is too long for people up the amount you earn in the current system. I would rather move on with the story than re-vamp existing content.

I don't really like grinding, but the problem with acquiring it all through events is I never know when the next pay will come OR how much OR what I'll need to spend it on-which makes me not want to ever spend it. It's nice to have a place to go to get it if you need it.

I really like your game. My only complaint is that Susan needs a straight up like update just for her. And a bunch of mini games some of us call us crazy like women with big titties.

I'm fine either way. When I initially played through the game, I went ahead and earned galleons by grinding. After playing through several releases though, I got bored with that mechanic and just started using the cheat system to get whatever money I might need. In the future, especially if I'm doing a re-play for nostalgia, I might go ahead and grind for money again and do everything without cheats, especially if there's a more interesting system for earning it and spending it.

I also would love to see different types of currency. Like we can earn muggle money and buy more mundane things with that, and we can earn special tokens for magical shops and get more magically naughty things with them.
