The first episode just shows how much difference is there between Luffy and Kaido, i mean, he never dodged a single hit from Luffy, and he throw every move he had at Kaido, and he just goes "thunder bodonk" and oneshots him, it's just that big of a difference for now

Kaido vs Luffy in Kuri feels like, when you fight the final boss in Dark Souls, and you feel like you gave your all and their health bar would go -0.01%, even you're not sure if it goes down at all and when it's their time to attack you, you suddenly got a "You Died" screen and left speechless bc of how fast it is you can't even react.

Normally I don't mind when the anime lengthens fights from the manga. But this one is the exception. The manga made it pretty clear that Luffy did ZERO damage to Kaido, while in the anime the fight gets so long you have people thinking Luffy was managing to hurt Kaido.
