This fight is so long, but when re-watching it, it doesn't really feel as slow as it did on initial viewing. Katakuri is such a good and well written character. During whole cake live, he had so many fans, he still does to this day. Oda knows how to show us strong and soon he'll show us why he is like that.

I reccommended you the german dub voice of katakuri before, but if you haven't checked it out yet, I really encourage you to watch the donut eating scene in the German dub. The turned it into a whole ass opera, which is hillarious.

Katakuri just has stronger Haki than Luffy does. He wasnt burned (though it made sense why you thought that) it was just painful. Katakuris Haki is stronger and can overpower Luffy's ending in him still taking damage through the Armor
