Also you would think Jack would have learned after doubting Pudding not to doubt the tragic One Piece women lol. There is no way Hiyori hated poor people, her best friend is a girl who barely had any money who she chose to be her attendant. She was willing to die to save her from Orochi which was the first big indicator that she was a good person who cares about the common folk, and was just roleplaying like you said. She just said that to roast those fools who harmed the common folk so much, cause it was a taste of their own medicine to be told they were poor.

Hiyori telling Zoro is risky, but it's a risk that she had to take. She was lucky enough to find someone trustworthy who defended her from an assassin without asking for anything in return. She is basically defenseless with no allies around her, it was actually extremely intelligent to confide in Zoro. Even if Zoro was not Momonosuke's ally, she was probably going to seek his help cause he is strong and kind. Plus, in her mind it's a likely a bit improper to hide something like that from the guy who almost died to save you.

A kappa is a yokai (Japanese spirit) that is kind of a turtle-duck-thing that (most commonly) lives rivers, they are also seen as sort of river gods.
