It's unfortunate how there are so few comments for this reaction considering how iconic these episodes are, especially when compared to last weeks. Anyway, Orihime’s powers might seem strange at first, especially compared to the more straightforward swords and spells others use, but there’s a reason for that. Without giving too much away, her abilities aren’t meant for direct combat in the traditional sense. They’re deeply tied to her emotions and are more about protection, healing, and REJECTING harm altogether. It’s also worth noting that Orihime isn't a typical fighter personality-wise. She's compassionate, idealistic, and wouldn't want to hurt people — which reflects in how her powers work. Expecting her to throw punches like Ichigo or Chad often causes people to miss the point of who she is. Make no mistake, her strength does show in different, subtler ways as the story progresses. It's easy to overlook how unique Orihime’s power set is early on, especially since the series takes its time exploring things.

bleach definatley has horror vibes, i dont really know if he talked somewhere about it but to me kubo (the mangaka of bleach) really wanted to lean on horror vibe more especially early on, its more prominent in the manga, i mean compared to anime which censored a lot.... but even in manga it come off as he wanted to make bleach more eerie horror but kinda forced into fiting it to the more generic battle shounen mold as the series went on due to editorial or publisher push and regulations... Though now and then the manga shows off that desire in him with some panels and characters and themes etc.
