Experimenting With Blender
🕑 Added 2019-02-28 21:50:07 +0000 UTCBut i have to admit this thing it's hard AF!, and painfully slow, the models looks great, but it's the only good thing i found so far, it takes too long to render a single frame, and the interface it's FAR to be intuitive, no wonder the vast majority of blender animations are just short animated loops, it feels really impractical for me.

And yet you make it look so fluid, alive, and easy now . . . I can't even begin to think of the hours it takes just to do a few seconds of animation . . . let alone the full shorts you do.

you just described my work on SFM, working on each model like a stop motion puppet, XD
Sonicrailin
SFM seems so easy . . . with how they make it look like you can control any model made for it like a videogame avatar . . . but I could never figure out how . . . and having to work each model like a stop motion puppet . . . I just don't have the time or patience. Make's me wish I had the skills to create the three super computer programs I dream up.

I've looked at both and I just don't have the talent for doing either . . . yet.

My biggest issue with blender is his extremely complexity, and the fact that every tutorial i found is as long as a novel makes me doubt about using it.

thanks pal!

my problem with blender (and any other "professional" 3d software), is the excessive complexity of the software, even the most basic stuff requires a few extra steps to setting up, while on SFM im pretty much got everything instantly
Stuntman Shocking Lopez
yeah, i can see why, the models looks spectacular on blender, but the complexity of the software, plus the long time rendering process it makes it almost impractical for animations, at least compared with the quickness of SFM.

Source Filmmaker is also free.

I started learning blender 2.79 recently and now im learning 2.8 with 2.7 lessons and its quite a bit of information to juggle but that evee render on 2.8 is too tempting to ignore

y'know I use Blender to create my models, but I never to use it for animation nor render.

Don't be sad if you give up. I am sure that no matter which program you use to make animations they will come out good.

quality over quantity is what people typically say but when it comes to blender, I dont mind seeing less quality stuff since you can put more work out.
Stuntman Shocking Lopez
i think that's even worse because you have to pay for assets

thanks

i don't know man, i can't understand 90% of what i'm seeing on screen

Did I hear Blender? I might be able to help you out with a few things, if you like. I've been using Blender exclusively for my renders.
