The first like four of those movies were taped off HBO on a home cassette in my household. I was out on my own for the last two and I think I bought Undiscovered Country on laserdisc. I mean, I know I did 'cause I still have it, but I think I probably skipped the VHS of it. I don't think I ever paid money to own Star Trek V, lol.

See this reminded me of the whole VHS Columbia House ST:TNG collection I threw away during Covid. Took up too much space, no working VCR have it on DVD and Paramount +, still was a ton of money just gone! How many others have gotten rid of these VHS tapes?

Also, if you turn the tapes the other way you get the Enterprise but you'll notice there's more space on the right hand side. That's because this set initially, as I said did not have Star Trek 6

I had nearly the same set growing up except it did not have Star Trek 6. As we bought it before Star Trek 6, I did find it sealed the exact same one you have at a Goodwill and I now currently have that.

Worked at Suncoast when that set came out and hated the shape of it. Takes up wasted space on the shelves. Spent many hours trying to reshelve merchandise around this monstrosity.

I had a UK edition of this set in a silver box with all 6 original cast movies in widescreen format. Every tape started with a trailer for the Star Trek home video collection, which was a supercut from the movies, TOS and TNG and featured an announcement for the (then brand new) Deep Space Nine. I could recite it by rote lol. Warning! I remember when ST TMP came on Showtime or HBO and my parents didn't have HBO-it was just squiggly lines with audio...so I recorded the entire movie on many cassette tapes and played them back over and over,,

It was originally 5 vhs, which is why TSFS gets the center image of the Enterprise.

They used to sell the tapes from that set individually, so somewhere I have II, III, IV, and V. Never bought I or VI, because we taped them off TV.
