Thanks Ben. It feels pretty scary right now, but I also kind of feel like I have to do it. And to be honest, Im not sure how it’s going to look. But i really do want to make sure I’m disciplined enough to do work that feels like it’s genuinely mine. And I think id ultimately regret it a lot more if i didn’t take that risk. So yeah, I’m pretty relieved to hear you say that.

Phenomenal news! In 2001 I was laid off from a tech company, and found that with enough scraping together of resources I could take 6 months to write. I created two full length screenplays and several shorts, and in the end I wound up back in tech — but the experience was life-changing. Avoid pre-defining what "success" means, and you will no doubt be able to find it along the way. Best of luck. We're all looking forward to hearing more!

Thanks Ben 🤗 I work in the horror show that is politics, basically fighting the New Zealand version of maga (lite), albeit from behind a desk, and with graphic design and video 🤣 My boss (a brown woman) is being forced out of politics, so my job is coming to an end anyway. I’m using this opportunity to do my comics, rather than staying in the role, or doing freelance. It’s a fraught time for everyone right now, so fk it ❤️
