I saw Karen Gillan at a convention a few years ago and she told a story from this episode. Apparently Matt Smith went to go chat up the actress playing the siren and he tried to be cool and casual and lean against a table. But it was a prop table that couldn't hold him and it collapsed.

I feel the same way!! I was so afraid they were going to make Rory another Mickey. But then he proved it wrong and I fell head over heels for him 😭 - Kat

A lot of reactors do that for the full movies they watch. For TV series though? How many of us the entire series on their shelf or HD, or be willing to pay to rent all the episodes. Hopefully putting that frame around the picture is enough.

Stewart originally suggested Lapsang Souchong. I guess they thought it didn't exactly roll of the tongue.

This is the episode where I really started liking Rory. In the beginning I kind of found him annoying. I'm glad ended up liking him sooner and didn't do a Mickey. I didn't start liking Mickey, until I saw him in season 4.

So that was a nightmare lol. I lost my cash card and only just got the new one, so I’ve had to rejoin today, hiyeee I’m back. Although I love this episode and it is fun, I do have a problem with it, but I’m not saying as it’s spoilers, I will say towards the end of Moffats run. But I will hint it’s the only thing I don’t like about Moffat and I love Moffat. But I will talk about my fave comic strip which I can’t remember the name of but was in doctor who magazine and basically was Steve moffat killing Arthur Darvill in a million ways 😂

I still think it's risky to do full picture-in-picture reactions. The gals should let the audience provide their own media to minimize risk of copyright takedowns.

Lily Cole (the actress playing the siren doctor) is a redheaded model. Her biggest acting role seems to have been Elizabeth I in a 3-episode TV mini-series in 2017. Before that, it seems like her biggest role (the one I know her best from) was in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (Heath Ledger's final film).

One thing i liked in classic Who was that it wasn't usually a story with only 2 parties (good/bad). It seemed more common to have 4 or 5 parties involved, all with different interests.

New Who has tended to lots of short stories tied together by an overall series arc which again can be a good thing or bad depending on the story. To me both approaches have their strengths and weaknesses. A lot depends on how much you want the story to be a stand alone or part of a greater whole.

In reference to the 2 part opener multi episode stories were the norm in classic Who with overall season story arcs being the rarity. The multi episode story arcs did give time to develop a specific story, which could be a good or bad thing depending on the individual story.

Only tried earl grey once. I didn't like it as it tasted like perfume to me. "Not my cup of tea" lol

The most disappointed I've been with Star Trek was when I tried Earl Grey tea. It took me back to my childhood when I tasted dishwater.

He got better!

You can always tell when a good scene is happening when Paula stops guessing what's coming next because she's too involved in the moment. And now Doctor Who has had it's own EMH.

Oh my God, they killed Rory! You bastards!
