One week till Season 3! I am stoked!

Bruce Bromley

No prob. It won't deter me from supporting the Gals as well. Even if it gives me a bit of OCD not being to save the videos, being a digital hoarder. 😁 Would love to see them use something like Dropbox to post their reactions, but we'll see.

Stephen Braybrook

Cheers Bruce for the quick reply. I’ve started watching fan theory tv reactions of Dr Who with two different reactors, full episodes which are downloadable via box.com I’m still watching the Gallifrey Gals they’re the best!

Bruce Bromley

I finally DMed them about it. Having their reactions downloadable was what got them banned from Vimeo for copyright. I guess we were lucky that we were able to get the few we did off of Wave. I do hope we may be able to convince them to find another way. It has been suggested before that they post the reaction without the pip of the episode and we use our own copy. It's understandable why they've done it. Just wish I had better wifi so I don't have to deal with all the buffering when I watch the reactions.

Stephen Braybrook

Bruce, have you been able to download the latest videos, I haven’t?

Bruce Bromley

Jarrod, if you watch the first season TNG gag reel you see it was originally for crew's eyes only. It's set up like an episode with beginning credits, has sound effects added for comedic emphasis and the bloopers are set up theme wise.

Jarrod Wild

A lot of the gag reels we as fans get to watch were originally assembled for cast and crew parties when shooting for a season wrapped (and/or a mid-season Xmas party). So they were a burden but there was fun to be had in hindsight. Jokes aimed at entertaining the film crew would be thrown into gag reels as well.

Back then of course, bloopers weren't just a waste of time. They were a waste of film. Kind of hard to imagine having a limited quantity of film to shoot with in this digital age. It reminds me of the Sony Handycam with 8 mm videocassettes that my dad had for home videos when I was a kid.

Amy Chlebus

Don't worry ladies. I'm already received my mail-in ballot, and I've turned it in. 😁😁

Jeff Seely

I have to agree with Andrew. I've messed up myself in the past and my comment was rightly deleted for it. I learned from that and moved on. In your case, I would suggest not waiting for Paula (or whomever she might have moderating the comments) to delete your comments. I know you don't think your comments in this thread are spoiling anything, but trust me: They need to go. People can figure something out even from a non-specific hint.

Andrew Hogan

Having made a faux pas myself a few months back, this is bordering on spoiler territory to an extent. I’m sure it was harmless but you can’t really know what she was expecting even if she was on the right track so to speak. Even if it isn’t specific, vaguery and subtlety can tip someone off and it seems as though Paula is going out of her way to try to keep the experience as close to what our first times were like.

Nolan

A big problem Dorn had was him trying to speak around his Klingon Teeth. They contributed quite a lot to his flubbed lines.

Robert Williams

I would say, watch "Postcards From The Edge" it's a movie written by Carrie Fisher, that was semi-autobiographical fiction. One of the parts of the movie, they have to loop in new audio for a scene she screwed up, and you have the whole thing where the director responds "I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at myself for demanding a continuous take." Then, like 1 minute later to the same actor in private "You fuck up my movie and I will kill you."

Thank you for this extra reaction. It was a nice surprise after a stressful day at work. After the bloopers were done I actually thought "it's been 10 min. already, that went fast" so thank you again for letting me forget the outside world for a bit.

trylikeafool

That's my video/channel, haha.

Jarrod Wild

Whenever I'm on face cam, my cat doesn't understand what's going on and suddenly wants all my attention. I think Katrina's is much the same. :)

The TNG cast is famously known for being the most rambunctious Trek cast, dancing and singing, and joking around with each other on set all day long. They're all still best friends. According to them, Michael Dorn (Worf) was the worst at remembering his lines, and Brent Spiner (Data) was the best. Thanks for the reaction!

John

And if they didn't, you just posted a spoiler. Why is it so hard to not talk about something they haven't aired yet?

Bruce Bromley

John

Here's a great little interview with Jonathon Frakes and Mariana Sirtis at the 2014 Ottawa ComicCom. It's spoiler free. https://youtu.be/3gqIECBUnME

michael mccafferty

You two make me laugh. That's a gift. Thank you!

Andrew Hogan

3 more weeks...... When do you plan on watching the TOS episode that wins the poll?

Stuart McConnell

According to most of the TNG main cast. The worst part of any scene was trusting the sliding doors would open so a person could walk through without missing a step. Colm Meany said once that you weren't really part of the main cast until you banged your nose on a closed door.

Josh G

Ug, it is November yet?
