I think she will learn to love Matt. The episode I am looking forward her to see is "Vincent and the Doctor." Honestly my favorite doctor of NW is 12. Matt is my 2nd favorite. Tom Baker and Peter Davison are my CW Doctors. 😁 I've been watching DW since 1976.😁

Matt Smith is my favourite of the New Who Doctors,and I think you'll take to him very quickly. Favourite episode of series 5? The very first one! TNG season Two: I have a soft spot for the first story;but an even softer spot for episodes 3,8,9,13,16 and 19. The only one I can't stand is.....well, you'll probably discover that for yourself :)

Paula here: Thank you for this amazing discussion! I love reading through your guesses on how we will feel about the new episodes we will be watching. Hi Kat. I think the Data episode I really liked is in the last third of the season where Data ends up getting Picard to examine his own humanity and his ideals and how you occasionally you have to circumvent the wording of a law to honour it's spirit.

It's weird too. Because they set us up to dislike the new character. Almost from the beginning they question another character we love. So we instantly dislike them for that. Why would you do that???? Pardon my vagueness. haha

I think Katrina is going to, like me, really dislike this new character....cannot stand them... they can fork right off And for DW, most looking forward to Vincent xx such a good ep.

I imagine it will take a while for Paula to like Matt, but I think he will grow on her. As for Star Trek the new character was an attempt to get a more original series relationship vibe, but I don't think Katrina will be happy with the change based on her reactions to some of the season 1 episodes. I'm wondering if you're going to do episode 22.

Predictions: Paula will love Matt, but never quite as much as David. There are some good episodes coming up, but let''s be honest, one is easel-y the best. Katrina has a lot to look forward to, with some amazing episodes, and some major lore drops. (This isn't a hint about Lore, the lower case is intentional. I just mean this season adds some new elements to the ST world). I don't know how well she'll take to the new person. They were designed to be more acerbic than the other characters, and I don't think that did them any favours. I can't wait to see how this goes, but let's all remember, getting a new Doctor can be hard, but stick with it and things usually turn out OK.

Regarding Doctor Who, I think Paula will like Matt, 11 is a very different doctor and yet quite familiar at the same time. Then Regarding Star Trek TNG, 2x03, 2x09 and 2x12 are my favourites of Season 2, but I think the most significant is 2x16!! Either way, I'm really looking forward to both shows!!
