Companions come and go, and it's not unheard of for a companion to sacrifice themselves to save the Doctor. As deaths go, it was a noble way to go, saving someone else. The real cruelty of it is having his existence erased and Amy forgetting him. It reminds me of a quote from a future episode, but spoilers. I'll have to revisit this at some later date after Paula's seen the quote I'm thinking of.

This was my fault and I learned a valuable lesson, like with "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", I learned to keep my thoughts inside after this episode. Paula's comment on wanting to call The Doctor "Doc" reminds me of the David Tennant animated special "Dreamland". I don't recall the Kat and Paula doing a reaction for it. Anyways thanks for the cry along, and i'm excited to watch along with the next episode. Cheers :)

Alright, not sure what the specifics are when it comes to you two reading comments, so just to be safe: PAULA DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING DUE TO MASSIVE DOCTOR WHO REACTION SPOILERS!!! And now a small buffer Alright, now Katrina I’ve been thinking about this for a little while now and I’m curious to know if you have any plans for reacting to the Doctor Who Movie, particularly in relation to the events of the 50th Anniversary when you reach that point in your reactions. The reason I ask is that I can’t help but wonder if you leave the potential movie reaction too late, it might lessen the impact of a particular 50th Anniversary Short for Paula so her reaction ends up being less of an “OH MY GOD! IT’S THIS CHARACTER!” like it was for those of us who experienced it the first time round and end up being more of a “Oh that’s why you had us react to the movie. So I’d recognise this character when I saw them. Well that’s kinda cool.”

I knew this was going to be a big week for both TNG and Doctor Who. But 'The Measure of a Man' at least had a happy ending. This episode of Doctor Who was brutal. I remember how it felt when I first watched it. I'm sorry, Paula. I know that was hard to watch.

Watch Doctor Who, they said. It'll be fun, they said. This episode is why I was so anxious for you guys to be able to film together soon. I hate it that you couldn't be together in person when watching it. I wish I could say it'll all be ok, but Doctor Who teaches us sometimes things aren't going to be ok and that accepting change is part of life. Sometimes the lessons really suck.

It was bad enough with that person that never existed being a voice of reason and caring for the dad. With just the redhead, granddad, and the prisoner, how fast did that go bad? Did they even return the body? How did it all play out???
