Zuko didn’t know it was her mother’s necklace he just knew it was her necklace. When zuko shows it to her she immediately says “my mother’s necklace!” Also Katara will always be my favorite character. I like the well rounded characters who also have a caring and nurturing side to them. Also she’s a badass lol. Episode 6 is pretty much when I decided she was my favorite.

I'm sure it has already been commented or you two know this but each style of bending is based off of a different martial art water is Tai Chi, Air is Bagua Kung-Fu, Fire is Northern Shaolin Kung-Fu, and Earth uses Hung Gar Kung-Fu (with an exception).
